Andrew Cuomo Being Criticized For COVID Handling Blames Trump For Virus Hitting NY

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is facing fresh backlash for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic that saw his state smashed with tens of thousands of deaths within just a few short months. How is he dealing with the criticism?

By doing what all liberal politicians do when they are being held accountable for their mistakes and horrible decisions. They blame the other guy.

The other guy in this case is President Trump.

Yes, according to Cuomo, it’s Trump’s fault the virus hit New York.

“If Trump’s government had done its job, the virus wouldn’t have come here,” Cuomo said Thursday on CNN. “The virus didn’t come here because of anything New Yorkers did, the virus came here because the federal government missed it.”

The number of deaths in the Empire State is over 30,000, dwarfing the death tolls in other states. Cuomo has been criticized in particular for a now-reversed policy that sent COVID patients into nursing homes.

Seems like I remember the radical left jumping all over Trump for daring to shut down travel to China, a move which no doubt saved thousands and thousands of lives. It’s like Trump can’t win no matter what decisions he makes.

At the end of the day, it wasn’t Trump’s leadership, or lack thereof, that caused all of those deaths in New York. It was Cuomo’s failure to act. It was his bad decision years ago to not resupply his people and ensure they had ventilators and other materials, things would’ve been much different.
