MAGA MADNESS: Loony Lib Pulls Gun on Trump Fan Over Hat
What started out as a social media joke about the lunacy of the liberal left has now turned into a bonafide phenomenon called Trump Derangement Syndrome, for which we are too intrinsically intwined to have any true perspective as if yet.
Try to remember the shock and horror that you felt when you first saw the bloody, decapitated head of the President at the end of Kathy Griffin’s outstretched arm. The steely, cold stare that she gave the camera was purely chilling. Her eyes belied no emotion at the heinous and callous effigy in her hands, that she herself chose to create. She had the uncaring and unflinching look of a cold-blooded predator.
It was unnerving to witness. The photo-realistic, bloody head was enough to form a brick somewhere deep in my guts, but seeing Kathy Griffin’s absolute void of emotion struck me in ways that no political imagery had before.
Now, remember that this was all nearly two years ago now. Today, in 2019, were we to see something like this, it wouldn’t have nearly the effect. We’d scoff, and scold, but in the end we would chalk it up to “liberals being liberals”.
It is this passage of time, and the erosion of dignity within the democratic party, that has led to madness such as this:
Police in Bowling Green, Kentucky, say James Phillips was arrested after witnesses said he pulled a gun inside a Sam’s Club outlet because the victim was wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat.
A police report notes that the suspect admitted to getting upset over the headwear and that he “flipped off” the MAGA hat wearer, according to WBKO-TV 13.

Pierce added that Phillips, “Pulled a .40 caliber out and stuck it in my face, backed up and said, ‘It’s a good day for you to die.’”
Phillips claimed that he told Pierce to put the gun down so they could settle the argument like men, but Pierce ran out of the store, instead.
I must remind you once again that we are all Americans, regardless of our political affiliation. It’s time to start acting like it.
Sensibility is the only cure for Trump Derangement Syndrome.
