2nd Getaway Car Could be Linked to Escaped Inmate and Officer
Their time on the lam continues…

In the final days of April, a rather mundane jailbreak in Alabama ushered in a nationwide manhunt that now has ties to Tennessee and maybe even Indiana.
On the 29th of last month, retiring corrections officer Vicky White loaded felon and inmate Casey White, (no relation), into a patrol car and headed off for what she claimed was a mental health checkup for the prisoner.
Instead of heading to what we now know was a bogus appointment, Vicky and Casey ditched the cop car, jumped into a late-model Ford SUV, and sped off into the sunset. That vehicle has since been recovered, after the pair apparently attempted to paint it green, and now another abandoned vehicle in Indiana may be connected to them.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Marshal Service confirmed to Fox News Digital on Monday that agents believe they have found a second vehicle used by the pair and then abandoned in the days following their escape from the April 29 escape from the Lauderdale County Detention Center in Florence, Alabama. Local news station WAAY 31 suggests it is the same vehicle reported stolen from Tennessee shortly after the couple ditched the getaway car used earlier in their escape.
The vehicle found in Indiana was described as a dark blue 2006 Ford F-150 with nothing inside, according to authorities. Marshals received a tip on Sunday night about the vehicle, which discovered at a car wash in the 2000 block of South Weinbach Avenue in Evansville.
Authorities may have spotted Casey White in the process.
New surveillance images, which were provided by authorities on Monday, show a man wearing a red-colored collared shirt, khakis, and a baseball cap, and standing next to the F-150 in question. A different photo shows the man, who was also wearing sunglasses, with what appeared to be a tattoo on his right forearm.
Law enforcement officials have warned civilians to steer clear of the pair if they spot them, and immediately call 911.

US Air Force Reveals Successful Hypersonic Missile Test
This could put the US back in the driver’s seat as far as missile tech goes.

Much like the global arms races that came before, the superpowers of the world are now looking to add a terrifying new doomsday machine to their arsenals in 2022: Hypersonic missiles.
The missiles, which could be loaded with nuclear or traditional munitions, fly several times faster than the speed of sound and are said to be unstoppable by current defense technologies. (The US has played coy with this claim, however, suggesting that our nation is well-defended against them).
Russia and China already possess such weapons. North Korea keeps insisting that they do too, but the claim is dubious.
The United States, who previously admitted that they were a bit behind in developing these projectiles, made a major announcement on the subject this week.
UPI reports a B-52H Stratofortress aircraft successfully released a AGM-1831 Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) over the weekend that achieved speeds five times greater than the speed of sound.
The test was conducted somewhere off the coast of Southern California, it said.
“This was a major accomplishment by the ARRW team for the weapons enterprise and our Air Force,” Brig. Gen. Heath Collins, Air Force program executive officer for weapons, said in a statement.
“The team’s tenacity, expertise and commitment were key in overcoming the past year’s challenges to get us to the recent success.”
The news comes just months after China secretly test launched a hypersonic missile that circumnavigated the globe before hitting its target.
