“Captain Marvel” is certain to rule the box office for a solid two weeks, if not longer.

That being said, star Brie Larson may want to rethink using her large platform to espouse social justice warrior policies.

Here’s why…

From Daily Wire:

“Captain Marvel” was hit with tens of thousands of audience reviews just hours after the film opened in theaters on Friday, scoring a dismal audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes of 33%.

“As of 8 a.m., the film had a 33 percent audience score from more than 58,000 reviews,” reported The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet credited the low audience rating to “trolls” sandbagging the film, noting that the number of reviews in a matter of mere hours from “Captain Marvel’s” opening is “more than the total of audience score reviews for Avengers: Infinity War for its entire theatrical run.”

About that “white males” comment, per Fox News:

Ahead of the upcoming release of “Captain Marvel,” actress and star Brie Larson reportedly chose a female journalist who has cerebral palsy to interview her after coming to the realization that her previous press tours had a tendency “to be overwhelmingly white male.”

Journalist Keah Brown, who sat down with Larson, described herself in Thursday’s Marie Claire UK piece as being someone who writes “about pop culture, disability (I have cerebral palsy), blackness and womanhood.”

Brown acknowledged in the article that Larson had “requested” her to conduct the interview, which she said was “game-changing” and “the biggest opportunity I’ve had.” After asking why she was selected, the actress discussed a trend that she’d noticed.

Anti-Trump filmmaker Spike Lee joined Joe Scarborough’s MSNBC show to blast America’s past and label Christopher Columbus a “terrorist.”

Lee was clad in a sweater and hat that read, “1619.”

Here’s why…

From Fox News:

Lee was wearing a black hat and a hooded sweatshirt, both emblazoned with “1619,” the year which he said “the first slaves were brought to this country, Jamestown, Virginia.

Lee: “I think that a lot of people need to know this. Because this is part of American history, which is not all good. You know, I think that when I was in public school in Brooklyn, New York, I was not told George Washington owned slaves. I was told that he chopped down the cherry tree and wouldn’t tell a lie. In 1492, this guy, this terrorist sailed the ocean blue.

He added: “I mean, we have got to start teaching, I feel, my opinion, let’s be honest about our history and let’s move forward.
