After Latest Mueller Filings, Pundits Forced to Admit "NO COLLUSION"
With over a year of “Mueller Time” under our belts, the nation is fast approaching exhaustion on all things Russia.
Mueller, for all intents and purposes, was tasked with proving something that many believed a wild conspiracy theory: Namely that Donald Trump, now President of the United States, is somehow a secret Russian agent whose election was predicated on the idea that Russia would help him get elected, and we would then provide favors for the Kremlin from within the Oval office.
And while Mueller is pulling in his fair share of indictments, so far, nothing has indicated that this collusion theory holds water. Even today, as the President was forced to stare down the barrel of Mueller’s wrath, many pundits were forced to admit that this has very little if anything to do with Russia.
Some crimes that people have been charged with or even admitted to have nothing to do with Trump, but rather pertain to wrongdoing or alleged wrongdoing by people with some association with him.
Unquestionably, this is a fishing expedition that has caught some fish. Mueller and his team of prosecutors have secured indictments, convictions and guilty pleas from people with some affiliation with Trump – but as yet, there is no “smoking gun” saying there was Trump-Russia collusion to defeat Hillary Clinton and install Trump in the Oval Office.
And, more forcefully;
What comes next? We simply don’t know, because Mueller has not lifted the curtain hiding much of his activities. But as of now, from what we know on the public record, Mueller has failed to prove the Trump-Russia collusion that he was appointed to investigate 19 months ago.
There has been no indication as to how long the American people are willing to allow Mueller to dig around aimlessly before they demand an end.
