Amid Massive Turmoil, President Trump's Approval Rating Surprises Nation
If even a small fraction of the weekend reports of the mainstream media are to be believed, Trump supporters have a reckoning heading their direction. And fast.
Over the last few days, a number of stunning and unprecedented accusations have been hurled at the President of The United States. While these allegations have been, so far, made in unofficial capacities, one must wonder about the old adage regarding “smoke” and its proximity to “fire”.
Sure, the mainstream media isn’t to be believed at face value – EVER – but the feeling around the nation is that some of these concerns are valid.
Combine that with an ugly government shutdown in which the democrats have jetted off to the tropics to party instead of negotiating, and the mood of the entire nation has taken a hit.
…Along with the President’s approval rating.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 43% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-five percent (55%) disapprove.
The latest figures include 32% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 46% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. (see trends).

Along with anger over the shutdown, reports out of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s camp have certainly spooked the conservative base, once again propping up a boogeyman in Vladimir Putin and asserting that he has some puppeteering of President Trump under his belt.
