Andrew Cuomo Tells Unemployed People to Go Get A Job As An 'Essential' Worker (Watch)
Are you out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic? How would you like a smack in the face to go along with it? That’s basically what New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) just did to Americans who are facing tough times.
And this is the man some liberals want to see going against President Trump in November.
From Washington Examiner:
The governor was asked at a press conference Wednesday to respond to the quarantine protesters who say the state’s economic lockdown cannot continue as-is because their cash savings are running out. After a lengthy back-and-forth with a reporter, Cuomo eventually said that if broke, out-of-work New Yorkers want a job so badly, then they should become “essential.”
That is some great advice. Why didn’t the more than 73,900 New Yorkers, including bricklayers, steelworkers, and carpenters, who lost their jobs between February and March, think of that first and become Amazon deliverymen?

On Friday, Trump and Cuomo once again exchanged jabs.
Cuomo noted, “If he’s sitting home watching TV, maybe he should get up and go to work.“
From NBC New York:
Cuomo, as he has for weeks, said the various federal coronavirus relief packages short-changed New York and that a new $500 billion bill was needed that allocated much more money to the state.
He also took exception with Trump’s comments that testing was up to the states, saying there was no effective way for the states to test at scale and that the president was refusing to help solve a national problem.
