Anti-Trump Washington Post Editor Gets RUINED on Twitter Over Her Sneaky Racism

Northam may not be the only one resigning over this issue, after all.

There are far too many folks out there in America who believe that hiding behind their overt virtue signaling absolves them from also being racist.

That’s truly what this “virtue signaling” trend is all about:  Banking some good karma for when everyone realizes what an insensitive bigot you really are.  Publicly, especially on the left, you see protests, marches, and Facebook photo filters all meant to express to those in your close circle that you are “woke”, or some soft of social justice warrior who is far too cognizant of the nuances of America to ever be racist.

Heck, this is a big part of why the left tend to be early adopters of linguistic change, and why they have weaponized political correctness to such an extent:  It means they get to choose who is virtue-signaling correctly.

Trending: Biden Refers to Cops As the ‘Enemy’ & Now Supports Cutting Police Funding — ‘Absolutely!’

Here’s a hint; if you operate on the left side of the aisle, you are probably doing it right…at least in the eyes of the democratic masses.

But what happens when all of that shiny signaling is tossed out the window by one overtly racist tweet?  We need only to ask one of the Washington Post’s prominent editors.

Actress Alyssa Milano blasted Jennifer Rubin’s “deep-rooted racism” over the far-left columnist’s tweet about embattled Virginia Governor Ralph Northam.

Northam, a left-wing Democrat, is under fire over a racist yearbook photo where he is either the guy in blackface or the person under the Ku Klux Klan hood. Northam turned 25 in 1984, the year the photo was published in his medical school yearbook, so the calls for his resignation have been swift. There are reports he will resign Saturday morning.

If Northam steps down, Virginia’s lieutenant governor, Justin Fairfax, will become the Commonwealth’s governor.

Here’s where things went off the rails:

Rubin could’t seem to say that Fairwax was a fine choice without remarking on the color of his skin.  Worse still, her tweet made it seem as though Rubin herself believes “eloquence” is a characteristic uncommon among African Americans.

It was the equivalent of saying, “he’s great…for a black guy”.

At best, this is racism.  That is undeniable.  At worst, however, it is something far more concerning, considering the substantial power wielded by Rubin in her position at the Washington Post.

Twitter users were quick to take Rubin to the figurative woodshed over her bigotry:

Northam may not be the only one resigning over this issue, after all.

Democrat Governor Frees 8,000 Inmates Over COVID-19, But Bans Singing In Churches

Priorities?

Once again, the Golden State continues to lead the nation in crazy. Thanks to radically far-left Governor Gavin Newsom, 8,000 prisoners will be freed due to spikes in coronavirus – which most likely stem from increased testing and Black Lives Matter riots, where police officers are treated like animals. Newsom has no problem banning singing in church, though. From KPIX 5: The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) on Friday said it estimates 8,000 currently incarcerated persons could be eligible for release by end of August under release authority granted to the CDCR Secretary allowing alternative confinement or release in any case in which an emergency endangering the lives of incarcerated persons has occurred or is imminent. The 8,000 inmates to be released are in addition to the state’s reduction of about 10,000 inmates since the start of the pandemic. Jay Jordan, the executive director of Californians for Safety and Justice, noted: “We’re glad the Governor is taking action to release more people. This is absolutely critical for the health and safety of every Californian. Too many people are incarcerated for too long in facilities that spread poor health. Supporting the health and safety of all Californians means releasing people unnecessarily incarcerated and transforming our justice system.” Regarding church, via Fox News: Faith leaders are speaking out after California Gov. Gavin Newsom banned singing and chanting in houses of worship last week due to a surge in coronavirus cases following weeks of protests. “Places of worship must, therefore, discontinue singing and chanting activities and limit indoor attendance to 25 percent of building capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees, whichever is lower,” the new guidelines read as state health officials recommend churches have members sing online from their homes. Roger Stone Will Not Serve Prison Time, Has Sentence Commuted By POTUS Trump

Freedom!

Liberals are going to have a field day with this one. Then again, they generally go bananas for anything and everything “Trump,” so this will just be more gas on the fire. As of late Friday evening, longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone learned that he won’t be serving time in the big house. From Fox News: Tucker Carlson lauded President Trump’s commutation of longtime Republican political consultant Roger Stone’s prison sentence Friday, saying the 67-year-old had been the victim of a “nakedly political” set-up aimed to put him away for the rest of his “useful and expected life.” Stone was to report to prison Tuesday on charges of witness tampering and making false statements in connection to the Mueller investigation of alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. Carlson said, “His arrest and his trial were nakedly political. It was a set-up. The presiding judge, a political activist called Amy Berman Jackson, issued a gag order that prohibited Stone from defending himself in public or making a living. She bankrupted him as a result.” Here’s the letter from the White House: California Congressman Eric Swalwell’s (D) 2020 presidential campaign lasted a solid five minutes. Even he probably knew he didn’t stand a chance. But that hasn’t stopped the radically far-left liberal from saying some very, very silly things. Swalwell knows the lines he’s supposed to parrot and does it well – or, at least, well enough. He’s just not the most likable of characters. In February, the Democrat suggested a new plan his peers might hatch in order to take down the duly-elected president of the United States.
