AOC Gets EMBARRASSING Polling News in New York

Is liberalism killing the liberals themselves? New polling data suggests that it’s possible.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Perhaps this is just a side effect of pervasive progressivism, but the left side of American politics is always looking for that shiny, new thing.

Sure, the idea that you should never ever stop changing in order to improve the world sounds industrious and studious.  In reality, however, there are limits that we must face honestly, and there are certain aspects of the world at large that maybe don’t needs all that change.

That may be a philosophical/political argument for another day, but it serves to prove a point of liberalism; it is always at odds with itself.  When nothing is good enough, and change is the only constant, you can never win.  You can only run.  And run, and run, and run.

This has led the left to turn away from conventional wisdom when it comes to electing public servants as well, with a slew of nontraditional Congresspersons making their way to Capitol Hill after the 2018 midterm elections.

And while nontraditional can help us to expand our political horizons, nontraditional can also mean inexperienced.  As in; these democrats have no political experience whatsoever, so they are nontraditional Congresspersons now.

New York looks to be coming to a similar conclusion in recent weeks on the subject of freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

President Trump is more popular than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio in the deep blue state of New York.

Buried in a Siena College poll is the fascinating news that Trump earns 36 percent support in one of the most left-wing state in the country; which is not terribly surprising or terribly high, but it is higher than  two of the state’s most famous far-left Democrats.

Ocasio-Crazy’s state-wide approval rating currently sits at a terrible 31 percent, while de Blasio does only a little better at 34 percent.

The bartender-turned-congresswoman has been at the center of much of Capitol Hill’s recent humor, having become the butt of several jokes online often for her youth and alleged lack of intelligence.

North Korea Taunts USA with New Weapons Test

North Korea has a history of diplomatic ebbs and flows, but this is the sort of bait-and-switch insult that could have Trump ready to wallop Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Un

Perhaps it was always too good to be true. Donald Trump, a President who was widely lambasted by the liberal left on account of his political inexperience, became an unprecedented hero in an unlikely situation with North Korea early into his presidency. For reasons perhaps still unknown, Trump’s opening of a dialogue with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un suddenly seemed to bring the DPRK back into the global community.  Part of this resurgence included, as it must, a promise of denuclearization by the hermit kingdom. Somewhere along the way, things have fallen off the rails, likely at the behest of Kim himself. Now, ever more astonishingly, the dainty despot is pushing the envelope even further with claims of a new weapons test. North Korea said Thursday that it had test-fired a new type of “tactical guided weapon,” its first such test in nearly half a year, and demanded that Washington remove Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from nuclear negotiations. The test, which didn’t appear to be of a banned mid- or long-range ballistic missile that could scuttle negotiations, allows North Korea to show its people it is pushing ahead with weapons development while also reassuring domestic military officials worried that diplomacy with Washington signals weakness. And that’s not all:  The DPRK is also now taking pot shots at Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Separately, the North Korean Foreign Ministry accused Pompeo of playing down the significance of comments by leader Kim Jong Un, who said last week that Washington has until the end of the year to offer mutually acceptable terms for an agreement to salvage the high-stakes nuclear diplomacy. Both the demand for Pompeo’s removal from the talks and the weapon test point to North Korea’s displeasure with the deadlocked negotiations. Was this all a ruse by North…

MUELLER DAY: Bill Barr Drops Bombshells Ahead of Mueller Report Release

Barr’s press conference raised more questions than answers, just hours ahead of the report’s public release.

Mueller Report

Today will be a day that American history will not soon forget, and Attorney General Bill Barr is part and parcel to the drama. Thursday marks the public release of the redacted version of Robert Mueller’s report on alleged Russian “collusion” in the 2016 election; a move which many fear could impact the Presidency of Donald Trump in unheard of ways.  Just an hour and half before the report went public, however, Bill Barr held a press conference in which a number of strange and shocking admissions were made. The Justice Department considered President Donald Trump’s frustrations about media and political speculation about the Russia investigation when deciding whether to charge him with obstructing the probe, Attorney General William Barr said Thursday. Barr said the Justice Department considered the “unprecedented situation” Trump faced entering office and what he called “substantial evidence” in Mueller’s report “to show that the president was frustrated and angered” by media speculation and a belief that the probe undermined his presidency. Of course, this begs the question:  Does it matter what the President’s perception of the probe is?  After all, he was a target of the investigation…it wouldn’t be too likely to find him leaning back in his chair and grinning ear-to-ear at the thought of it. This will undoubtedly be the story of the day, as the redacted Mueller report is set to hit the public and Congress at 11am.
