You know in the Constitution where the Founders said everyone has the right to healthcare and housing?

Oh. Did you not catch that part?

AOC and her ilk continue to do everything in their power to re-write the greatest single document in the history of any nation.

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) demanded at a town hall event in the Bronx on Thursday that everybody be given “access” to guaranteed homes before anyone is allowed the “privilege to earn a profit.”

AOC said, “We have to make sure that housing is being legislated as a human right. What does that mean? What it means is that our access and our ability and our guarantee to having a home comes before someone else’s privilege to earn a profit.

She added, “I want to make sure that we connect some dots because when we introduced the Green New Deal we were saying what is a girl from the Bronx doing and talked about environmentalism that doesn’t make any sense, right? Wrong. Because one of the big things that we talked about was that we need to clean our buildings. … When we talk about our right to a clean home, when we talk about retrofitting buildings, what we’re talking about is cleaning our air and cleaning our water because when we talk about what housing as a right means, it doesn’t mean that you have a right to four crumbling walls and a dirty floor.

Ocasio-Cortez didn’t seem happy or sad after learning that a billionaire is going to pay off student debt for the entire 2019 graduating class of Morehouse College.

But conservatives on Twitter let her know what she missed.

Here’s her tweet:

Every Morehouse Class of 2019 student is getting their student debt load paid off by their commencement speaker.

This could be the start of what’s known in Econ as a ‘natural experiment.’ Follow these students & compare their life choices w their peers over the next 10-15 years.

Reactions:

This amazing act of kindness brought to you by a billionaire – and the capitalist system that made his billions possible.

This is how it’s supposed to work – personal and or private charity. It is not the government’s job to pay off debt for college students.

Period the end. 🙂

Good for the students but Robert F. Smith didn’t make his wealth in a #socialist society. He worked at Goldman Sachs, left and built Vista Equity Partners that is worth over $4 billion and manages an estimated $30 billion. That’s called #capitalism.

Sure is nice that a billionaire could pay that as a gift to these students.

Glad no one called them all evil or anything.

People can give things to each other voluntarily? Who knew?

Yay for capitalism!

California Bar’s Side Hustle: Fake COVID Vaccination Cards

Police were able to buy several of the phony cards last month.

As we begin to enter into whatever this new “normalcy” will be in the coming weeks, there are concerns among some that unvaccinated Americans could soon be treated like second-class citizens in their own country. This has already been a bit of an issue in certain industries, with airlines pushing hard to establish a coronavirus vaccine passport system, and several major league sports venues having declared that they will segregate the vaccinated and unvaccinated fans who attend their games. This has now spurred a strange side hustle for one California bar. The owner of a San Joaquin County bar was arrested this week for allegedly selling fake COVID-19 vaccination cards. Investigators say the operation ran for weeks out of the Old Corner Saloon in Clements, which has a population of 941. The local sheriff’s office got a tip that fake vaccine cards were being manufactured and sold out of the bar, complete with laminations. The investigation was fairly cut and dry. Investigators with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control then took over. “Undercover agents with our Special Operations Unit were able to purchase multiple cards in April,” said Luke Blehm, deputy division chief at the Alcoholic Beverage Control. “As a result, we also observed several sales of fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards to other patrons,” Blehm said. The owner of the bar was selling the cards for only $20.

Ron DeSantis Trolls Mainstream Media with Bill Signing Stunt

The outrage came quickly.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has long been a thorn in the side of the liberal left, and this week is certainly no different. DeSantis on Thursday signed one of the strictest voting enforcement bills in the nation, in a move that has been applauded by conservative groups around the country. Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida signed new voting legislation into law on Thursday. It enacts restrictions on voting by mail and at drop boxes, which Democrats and activists warn could suppress voter turnout. DeSantis, a Republican, signed the bill, which was passed by the GOP-controlled legislature last month, live on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” during an interview with the show’s hosts. Throughout the week, the governor had been holding more formal bill-signing ceremonies across the state as he signed bills into law. DeSantis argued that the bill protects the “integrity and transparency” of Florida’s elections and that after the 2020 election, which was successful, the changes will keep the state “ahead of the curve,” echoing the message Republicans have used for months to push back on criticism of their legislation. But DeSantis’ choice to bar all media outlets except for Fox News was controversial. https://twitter.com/stevebousquet/status/1390268388493103104?s=20 https://twitter.com/jayobtv/status/1390274698370551810?s=20 https://twitter.com/RedWingGrips/status/1390300886031798272?s=20 https://twitter.com/stevebousquet/status/1390285632761733123?s=20 DeSantis also made headlines on Friday for providing every law enforcement officer in the state with a $1,000 bonus.
