As Delta Variant Spreads, Vaccine Waiver Cards More Important Than Ever
As our nation moves forward into the post-pandemic era, one of the most pressing issues in this “new normalcy” will be centered around vaccines and vaccine hesitancy.
You see, in a nation that prides itself on freedom, the concept of bodily sovereignty cannot be dismissed. We have long had the right to do with our bodies as we please, whether that be smoking cigarettes, skydiving, or taking certain medications.
The COVID-19 vaccines are no different, of course, but the severe social pressure surrounding this inoculation is like nothing we’ve ever seen before. In some cases, Americans are being asked to prove their vaccination, and the unvaccinated are even being treated as second-class citizens.
Things are even more dire today, as the spread of the “Delta” variant of COVID-19 has again prompted state and local governments to push back against the unvaccinated.

For example, the FAA mask mandate is based on the CDC’s latest federal regulation, which was published on January 29, 2021. The CDC policy is explained in an 11-page document which can be found on their website. On page 4 of the policy, including footnote #8, it lists exceptions to the mask mandate. Included in this list is “medical documentation by a licensed medical provider.”

There are currently several employers and schools who have instituted vaccine mandates, and they have all included the option for a medical exemption”
Unfortunately, no provision in the Constitution ensures access to your favorite restaurant, your job, travel, or a ball game. The reality is that the government and private entities do have the power to coerce anyone to get the vaccine. The only exception applies to people who can’t get the vaccine because of medical circumstances. You must possess legitimate documentation to be a member of the exception group.
