ATF Begins Stockpiling Millions of Gun Purchase Records
The Democratic Party has long been eyeing ways to impede the right of Americans to bear arms, but thanks to the Second Amendment’s ironclad wording, the left hasn’t gotten all that far.
In fact, what the liberals seem to have settled on as far as a strategy goes, is the idea of making gun ownership frustrating and expensive. They are constantly adding new stipulations and costs to the bearing of arms, in an effort to dissuade Americans from exercising this inalienable right.
Now, in a stunning move, President Joe Biden’s ATF is now stockpiling a vast array of gun purchase records.
A report by the Washington Free Beacon says the Biden Administration’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, (ATF) has a database detailing well over 900 million firearm purchases by Americans.
According to the January 31, 2022, report, “The ATF disclosed to lawmakers that it manages a database of 920,664,765 firearm purchase records, including both digital and hard copy versions of these transactions.”
The news has sparked fears of a possible gun registry.
Rep. Michael Cloud (R) took part in the investigation into the ATF’s record collection and is warning that the Biden administration could use the accumulated information to launch a gun registry:

Yet, the Biden administration is again circumventing Congress and enabling the notably corrupt ATF to manage a database of nearly a billion gun transfer records…Under the president’s watch, the ATF has increased surveillance on American gun owners at an abhorrent level. The Biden administration continues to empower criminals and foreign nationals while threatening the rights of law-abiding Americans. It’s shameful and this administration should reconsider its continued attacks on American gun owners.”
Gun reform has long been a focus of the Biden administration, with then-candidate Joe promising to close the so-called “gun show loophole” and create a system for universal background checks.
