Beto O'Rourke Hits The Campaign Trail In Mexico, Hears Concerns From Asylum-Seekers

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke has provided us all with an actual, living example of the word “pander” in real life, having now hit the campaign trail in Mexico to hear the concerns of asylum seekers.

The left has made it clear over many, many years that they see illegal immigrants from across the border not as people, but as potential voters to fill out their base and help them win elections, thus they pretend to be champions for their cause.

They are political pawns, a truth revealed by Beto’s little stunt south of the border.

Here’s more from TheBlaze:

The former Texas congressman staged a sit-down with residents of a migrant shelter, who complained of being denied entry into the U.S. until their asylum claims have been processed.

O’Rourke highlighted some of their stories in a Facebook message following the meeting, and said in a livestream video, “We hope, by sharing these stories, that the conscience of our country is awoken right now, and the need to change the policies that we have in place” becomes apparent, The Associated Press reported.

O’Rourke added in his post, “The wealthiest, the most powerful country on the face of the planet is turning these families away from a land comprised of refugees and asylum-seekers the world over. This can’t be us. This can’t be America. But right now, it’s America and it’s on all of us to make this right.

“We must end the Remain in Mexico policy, end metering, end family separation, and end the detention of those who pose absolutely no threat,” the Democrat continued. “But we must go far beyond that and fix the entire system.”

O’Rourke’s immigration plan, should he by some sort of twisted joke of fate end up in the White House, promises that he would “immediately halt work on the border wall — and his first budget, and every budget, will include zero dollars for this unnecessary wall.”

Along with that, O’Rourke has proposed taking U.S. tax dollars and shipping them off to Latin American countries, which is a very bad idea as this money will not reach folks who need it, but will end up lining the pockets of the very individuals oppressing these people and driving them to our border in the first place.

O’Rourke’s campaign has taken a nosedive over the last few weeks and this stunt smells of desperation, an attempt to get someone, anyone, to pay some attention to him, to see that he too can make a contribution to the liberal cause.

It almost makes you feel sorry for him. Almost.
