Biden Campaign Cancels Travel For Harris After Staff Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Sen. Kamala Harris has cancelled all campaign travel until next week after two individuals who are connected with the Biden presidential campaign have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Hey, remember when Democrats jumped all over President Trump for his team spreading COVID-19 among themselves? Yeah, guess they are eating a big, steaming pile of crow this morning.

Jen O’Malley Dillon, Joe Biden’s campaign manager, confirmed that her team was made aware on Wednesday that Liz Allen, the communications director for Harris, and another non-staff flight crew member both contracted COVID-19.

via Washington Examiner:

Harris won’t quarantine because she hasn’t been in close contact, as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dillon said. But the California senator and Democratic vice presidential nominee won’t take part in in-person events on her agenda until Monday out of an abundance of caution.

“She will keep a robust and aggressive schedule of virtual campaign activities to reach voters all across the country during this time,” Dillon wrote in a statement Thursday.

Biden, Harris, nor any other aides have been near Allen or the unnamed non-staff member since they tested positive or in the 48 hours prior to their positive test results, Dillon added.

Harris was originally supposed to fly out to North Carolina on Thursday.

Folks, this should be a lesson to the Democratic Party. That lesson?

Don’t politicize the spread of this virus.

No matter what kind of precautions are being taken, this thing is still finding away to spread around. It’s not necessarily anyone’s fault. This is simply what illnesses do. We have to learn to deal with it the best we can.

Those in high-risk categories need to take all the precautions possible. Individuals who are young and healthy need to keep on living and working, trying to stay as normal as possible.

Here’s to a speedy recovery for those in Biden’s campaign who have contracted COVID-19.
