Biden Deflects Once Again On Questions About Court Packing: ‘I’m Not Going To Play Trump’s Game’

Published

on

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has once again managed to duck answering questions about whether or not he would come out in support of court packing should he win the presidency come November.

Biden was asked about this during the presidential debate Tuesday night and did not answer the question, making it clear he wouldn’t address the issue.

What he doesn’t seem to understand is that to the rest of us, a refusal to answer is itself an answer.

In a local news interview with Pittsburgh’s WTAE on Wednesday, anchor Shannon Perrine pressed Biden on the issue, noting that viewers wanted her to follow up on the question that went unanswered the night before. Biden gave a similar response.

“You know, that’s exactly what they want me to talk about so we don’t talk about how they’re violating the Constitution now,” Biden said. “I’m not going to play Trump’s game. Right now, my entire focus is seeing to it that the American people get a chance – the election has already started – to have their say on who the next Supreme Court justice is. And that’s what I’m focused on.”

“The Constitution says that the American people – I taught constitutional law for over 20 years – says the American people get an opportunity to choose who they want on the Supreme Court by who they pick as their senator and their president,” said Biden, who began teaching classes at Widener University Delaware Law School in 1991.

Just for the record, the Constitution actually says absolutely nothing whatsoever about the American people having the right to choose who sits on the Supreme Court. Where Biden is getting this from is beyond me. It’s like he’s just making stuff up on the fly.

Keep in mind, the Constitution at one time didn’t even let the people choose their own senators. That was done by the state legislature. This changed due to the 17th Amendment which was passed in 1913.

Psaki When Asked Why Joe Didn’t Wear Mask After Signing EO: ‘Bigger Issues to Worry About’

She’s going to be making plenty of excuses.

It is going to be a trip covering Joe Biden’s “presidency.” On Day 1, the guy signs an Executive Order mandating masks must be worn on federal property, then decides to not wear one later that same night at the Lincoln Memorial. When asked why that happened, new Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodged. Go figure. Didn’t Joe (and every liberal, for that matter) blast Trump whenever he didn’t wear a mask? While Biden signed executive orders meant to combat the coronavirus outbreak, AP White House reporter Zeke Miller pressed him about his previously-announced goal of having 100 million Americans vaccinated within the first 100 days in office. Miller asked whether the bar should be set “higher” to encourage even more Americans to get vaccinated. WATCH: https://twitter.com/tomselliott/status/1352349221161197568

Report: President Trump Reportedly Thinking of Forming New ‘Patriot Party’

Has a ring to it, no?

Before you get too excited about that headline (thinking the GOP is done with Donald Trump no longer at the helm) imagine all the negative aspects that would come with forming a new party. 1.) It would divide the Republican Party in two. 2.) Having another major party would split the vote, meaning Democrats keep on winning. It’s not the greatest idea, if he’s serious about it. What Trump should do is start his own TV network and social media platform ASAP. MAGA TV. You’re welcome. Anyway, check this out… The outlet, citing inside sources reportedly familiar with the matter, said that the president would like to call the party the “Patriot Party.” “Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week,” the outlet reported. “The president said he would want to call the new party the ‘Patriot Party,’ the people said.” The Daily Wire reported that “top pro-Trump Republicans” close to the administration said that it was a “bad idea” and would effectively split the Republican Party so that it would be nearly impossible for Republicans or otherwise to defeat the Democratic Party in elections.
