Biden 'Disinfo' Czar Raked for Prior Criticism of Hunter Laptop Story
While there are certainly plenty of reasons why Americans are unimpressed with the Biden administration, perhaps one of the most distressing issues seems to be the rather abysmal delegation work that the White House has been engaged in.
For instance, the decision to make Vice President Kamala Harris the de facto “border czar”, which resulted in almost no discernible improvement to the situation, even after Harris visited the border…nearly 90-days into her time in the role.
This week, as the White House announced their decision to appoint a “disinformation czar”, their chosen politico’s past views on the Hunter Biden laptop story are coming back to haunt her.
President Biden’s pick to lead his Department of Homeland Security’s Big Brother-like Disinformation Governance Board has her own history of posting disinformation online.
Nina Jankowicz, who was a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, has repeatedly cast doubt on The Post’s reporting about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
During a series of live tweets during the presidential debate between Biden and Donald Trump in October 2020, Jankowicz had referenced the laptop.
Her comments were telling.
“Back on the ‘laptop from hell,’ apparently—Biden notes 50 former natsec officials and 5 former CIA heads that believe the laptop is a Russian influence op,” Jankowicz tweeted.
“Trump says ‘Russia, Russia, Russia,’” she added.
Her tweet resurfaced immediately after she revealed she’d been named executive director of the new disinformation bureau on Wednesday — as conservatives slammed her as a “leftist radical” and expressed doubt in her ability to spot misinformation.
Jankowicz’ suggestion that the laptop was a bit of Russian malarky was the de facto leftist talking point when the story first surfaced, but has been largely rescinded in recent days as discoveries from the machine itself have proven the item to be legitimate.
