Biden Signs Executive Order on Abortion, Lambasts SCOTUS

As the Democratic Party continues to push a nascent narrative regarding Roe v. Wade, President Joe Biden has thusly been compelled to take some action to protect abortion rights for his base.  Otherwise, his inaction would go into a rather large pile of failures that has been dragging his approval ratings to the depths of despair like an anchor.

And so, on Friday, Biden not only rattled off an executive order meant to shore up the protections previously afforded by Roe v. Wade, but he also used the opportunity to make some rather bold statements about the Judicial Branch of our government.

“What we’re witnessing wasn’t a constitutional judgment, it was an exercise in raw political power,” Biden told reporters at the White House after quoting heavily from the dissenting opinion in the ruling.

“We cannot allow an out of control Supreme Court, working in conjunction with extremist elements of the Republican party, to take away freedoms and our personal autonomy,” he said.

And that wasn’t all…

“I don’t think the court, or for that matter Republicans … have a clue about the power of American women,” he said, adding he believed women would turn out in record numbers in November’s election to restore women’s rights.

Where our founding fathers envisioned checks and balances, Biden is suggesting there are enemies and obstacles.  This sentiment is worrisome at best, as it sets the Democratic Party on a collision course with the courts, as opposed to allowing the three branches of our government to work in parallel, as the founders intended.
