Blackface-Wearing Comedian Joins Dems in Dismissing Border Crisis

There is a crisis on the border where women are being raped and children are dying, but don’t worry! Blackface-wearing comedian Jimmy Kimmel says everything is fine.

There are no shortage of disturbing issues with the liberal left’s stance on border security, not the least of which was on full display last night.

Shortly after President Trump delivered an 8-minute address to the nation on the subject of the southern border, the media spin-machine was turned up to 11.  In the immediate aftermath of the Commander in Chief’s speech, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer took to the podium, looking eerily similar to the famous Grant Wood painting American Gothic.  During their terse, dry, and unconvincing read of their vetted and re-vetted verbiage, the two failed to make any sort of point that resembled a counterattack to the President.

The American people weren’t buying it, with anchors on CNN even visibly disappointed by the lackluster language.

Then came the late night hosts, who again attempted to downplay the severity of what it happening on the border.

“All the major networks covered his speech live, and for good reason,” Jimmy Kimmel began. “It was historic. Rarely does a president of the United States interrupt primetime television to warn us about a completely made-up thing.”

Kimmel then suggested that the speech should be accompanied by the following disclaimer: “The following presidential address is a work of fiction. All personalities, incidents, events, locations and facts were pulled directly from the president’s ass.”

“So with that as a caveat, the president spoke. He did not mention the caravan that was coming to get us three months ago. I don’t know what happened to that, but I guess it disappeared when the election was done,” Kimmel said. “But he does want us to believe there is a crisis at the border beside the one he created. He desperately wants us to be worried about the border.”

Kimmel’s remarks are akin to denial of the horrific conditions that many of the migrants face.

Not only are these human beings subjected to blistering temperatures, dangerous trails, and nefarious ne’er do wells on their journey, but we have already seen at least two instances in which children are dying as a result of their attempts to be marched across the border.

And this doesn’t even take into account the unspeakable and unfathomable things that occur to women and children as they mingle with these hardened smugglers.

If the democrats and the comedians want to downplay the severity of that, they do so at the peril of being labeled “Border Crisis Deniers” – a term purposefully reminiscent of “Holocaust Deniers”.

But, what else do you expect from a man who habitually wore blackface for chuckles?

“Bias Response Teams” are Nullifying The First Amendment at Portland State

When free speech dies, so too does America herself.

first amendment

A terrifying new authority has arrived on the campus of Portland State, and their purpose is to police the language used anywhere on the property. The idea is simple enough:  If you or one of your colleagues finds yourself either offended, or concerned that someone else could be offended, by something that just occurred on campus, you can call the “Bias Response Team” to come “investigate”…or whatever it is that they do. Yes, this is a real thing, and not some dystopian, concept-opinion piece I’m trying out. Members of the campus community at Portland State better think twice about making a joke on campus — it could very well lead to their names being reported to the university’s bias response team. Two bias reports filed at the public institution last fall were against people making jokes or similar off-hand comments on campus, according to documents obtained by The College Fix through a public records act request. Just how bad were the jokes? In one case from last September, a student overheard someone in their classroom making a comment about sometimes feeling like they having schizophrenia. “She then stated she was not trying to make fun of schizophrenia,” the student reported, “but that sometimes she can be ‘schizophrenic.’ … She stated this in a joking manner and even laughed about it.” Now let’s look to the future, when you are perhaps looking for a job, or perhaps a career in politics, and your “bias response team” report finds its way to Wikileaks.  Now, instead of focusing on who stands before you today, you are either tainted by or forced to spend time explaining the situation that led to your being included in such a wildly subjective, yet somehow serious report. Worse still is that comedy is one of the last real safe harbors for free speech…

Americans are Turning Away from Mainstream Media’s Monsters

This media malady has maintained course for too long, and the American people are growing tired of it.

mainstream media

The division that we see in our current society is unacceptable, but the loud, crashing, rapid fire mortars of the mainstream media have us so disorientated that we cannot see it. At any time of the day, you could turn on the television and watch two grown adults shout at each other over politics.  There are channel after channel devoted to this very idea; that we can induce catharsis living vicariously through the talking heads on the television. At times, it is even barbaric.  There are nuclear moments that go viral, adding fuel to this fire of fervor and frenzy.  Then, these snippets get snatched out of context and weaponized on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It has put us all at each other’s throats, and that is not what this great nation is all about. This media malady has maintained course for too long, and the American people are growing tired of it. A new poll shows trouble for the figurative tip of the mainstream media spear, CNN. Last place CNN’s already humiliating ratings nosedived by double digits last week. Even more than usual, some ten days ago the far-left CNN launched a 24/7 jihad against President Trump, going so far as to question his mental health, his patriotism, blaming him for a mass murder in New Zealand, and serial lying about his response to Charlottesville. But this unhinged hate campaign obviously turned off a considerable number of Americans. When compared to this same week last year, CNN lost -16 percent of its primetime viewers and -17 of total day viewers; young people ran away screaming: In the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demo, CNN shed an incredible -31 percent of those viewers during primetime and -29 percent in total day. Even more telling still are the metrics available to us that compare CNN to their rival…
