From Daily Wire:

Christine Blasey Ford, a California woman who accused then-Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh of decades-old sexual misconduct without a shred of corroborating evidence, collected nearly $650,000 from a GoFundMe account last week and released a rare statement post-Kavanaugh hearings.

Blasey Ford described the donations as a “godsend” and announced that she would finally be closing the account to further monetary offerings. Justice Kavanaugh was confirmed to the court on October 6, some seven weeks before Blasey Ford closed the account.

She wrote:

The funds you have sent through GoFundMe have been a godsend. Your donations have allowed us to take reasonable steps to protect ourselves against frightening threats, including physical protection and security for me and my family, and to enhance the security for our home.

With immense gratitude, I am closing this account to further contributions.

All funds unused after completion of security expenditures will be donated to organizations that support trauma survivors. I am currently researching organizations where the funds can best be used. We will use this space to let you know when that process is complete.

Words are not adequate to thank all of you who supported me since I came forward to tell the Senate that I had been sexually assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh. Your tremendous outpouring of support and kind letters have made it possible for us to cope with the immeasurable stress, particularly the disruption to our safety and privacy. Because of your support, I feel hopeful that our lives will return to normal.

The funds you have sent through GoFundMe have been a godsend. Your donations have allowed us to take reasonable steps to protect ourselves against frightening threats, including physical protection and security for me and my family, and to enhance the security for our home. We used your generous contributions to pay for a security service, which began on September 19 and has recently begun to taper off; a home security system; housing and security costs incurred in Washington DC, and local housing for part of the time we have been displaced. Part of the time we have been able to stay with our security team in a residence generously loaned to us.

With immense gratitude, I am closing this account to further contributions. All funds unused after completion of security expenditures will be donated to organizations that support trauma survivors. I am currently researching organizations where the funds can best be used. We will use this space to let you know when that process is complete.

Although coming forward was terrifying, and caused disruption to our lives, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to fulfill my civic duty. Having done so, I am in awe of the many women and men who have written me to share similar life experiences, and now have bravely shared their experience with friends and family, many for the first time. I send you my heartfelt love and support.

I wish I could thank each and every one of you individually. Thank you.
Christine

Sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, the woman who asked the majority of questions for Republicans during Ford’s testimony before the Judiciary Committee, appears to have completely exonerated Kavanaugh.

As noted by Jacob Wohl, “Rachel Mitchell finds Ford’s allegations totally suspect, potentially fraudulent.”

Kind of a big deal.

Mitchell notes: “The activities of congressional Democrats and Dr. Ford’s attorney’s likely affected her account.”

If you haven’t seen the full thing, here’s Ford’s opening statement before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Two GoFundMe’s for Ford have amassed over $842,000.

A third is at $120,000.

Ford noted: “The costs for security, housing, transportation and other related expenses are much higher than we anticipated and they do not show signs of letting up.”

“Funds received via this account will be used to help us pay for these mounting expenses.”

A spokeswomen for GoFundMe said Ford can withdraw as much cash as she wants…whenever she wants…for any reason.

Over 21,000 people have donated to Ford’s GoFundMe.

Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh dropped $10,000.

Ford and her husband currently live in a $3.3 million home in Palo Alto, California.

Senate Judiciary Committee Sets Up Final Vote For Barrett Supreme Court Nomination

Published

on

The Senate Judiciary Committee is no doubt making liberals all across the country squirm today as they’ve voted to advance the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, setting a date of October 26 for the final vote. Liberals have tried their hardest to sabotage ACB, but unfortunately for them, her moral record is impeccable, her policies perfectly aligning with the Constitution, and her intellect far above their own. Democrats did not show up for the vote to advance Barrett’s nomination, boycotting the event because they’re angry about the fact her nomination is taking place so close to the 2020 presidential election. Boo hoo. via Washington Examiner: All Republicans voted in person. Before the vote, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham of South Carolina warned that Democrats “are going to regret it” and said it would further degrade the confirmation process. This is absolutely great news for Americans. Barrett has a well established reputation for being an “originalist,” which means interpreting the Constitution in the context in which it was written, instead of claiming it to be an “evolving document,” like many leftists do, which affords them the opportunity to twist the words of founders to mean anything they want. Here’s to hoping that along with her confirmation to the bench, we get another four years of President Trump to go along with it. Imagine what we could do if we won the White House, the House, and the Senate, with ACB on the bench? Freedom and liberty for all.
