‘Brandon Derangement Syndrome’ Emerges as CNN Compares to ISIS, KKK Rhetoric

Oh give us a break.

In a case of vast over-complication, the liberal left is now trying to turn a tongue-in-cheek moment during a college football game into hate speech.  As if they don’t have better things to do, (like, I don’t know, deal with the border).

Throughout the NCAA season thus far, there have been a number of notable incidents in which college students can be heard, very clearly, chanting, very profanely,  “F*** Joe Biden”.

As the chant spread, television teams began to scramble to find ways to mitigate the risk to their FCC licensing while maintaining a certain quality of broadcast that you just can’t get with muted stadium atmosphere.   They would try scrambling the feed, keying in on concourse noise, or even sideline banter – which can be risqué as well.

Some even tried to suggest, perhaps humorously, that the crowd was cheering for a young player on the field, chanting “Let’s Go Brandon”.

That latter phrase has become a clarion call for the anti-Biden crowd now in the latter portion of 2021, and it is absolutely triggering the liberal left.

Liberal CNN political analyst Joe Lockhart managed to compare the anti-Biden rallying cry “Let’s Go Brandon” to coded rhetoric from Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan and ISIS in one tweet as corporate media continued its meltdown over the chant.

Lockhart, a former Clinton press secretary, tweeted Monday, “You know who also had coded statements like Brandon? ISIS, the Klan, Nazi’s…beginning to get the point?”

Earlier this week it was revealed that Southwest Airlines was looking to track down a pilot who used the phrase via loudspeaker, which caused several complaints for the already struggling corporation.

SEE IT: Man Arrested After Holiday-Themed Arson at Fox News

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

To say that Americans are politically agitated would be the understatement of the last 140 years, and the evidence continues to pile up in the latter stages of 2021.

We’re at each other’s throats, to be blunt about it.  Not since the Civil War has the nation so viciously despised itself, and the violence inherent to these sorts of conflicts has just begun.

This week’s flagship fracas comes to us from Fox News, where the network’s beaming bastion of the holiday season was torched overnight.

The massive All-American Christmas Tree outside Fox News’ New York City headquarters was seriously damaged in a fire early Wednesday and police say they arrested the man accused of sparking the flames.

Fox News security spotted the suspect, later identified as Craig Tamanaha, climbing the 50-foot-tall tree at the center of Fox Square just after midnight. The Sixth Avenue and 48th Street location is in the heart of Midtown.

NYPD officers arrived at the scene and saw the suspect running from the location. They took him into custody before filing charges that included criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and arson. City firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze.

Images from the incident were soon blasted all over social media.

Chris Cuomo Preparing Massive Lawsuit Aimed at Former Employer

But CNN INSTANTLY put the kibosh on it!

Published

Things over at CNN have been rough in recent days, and they certainly aren’t smoothing out anytime soon.

The infotainment network is facing an onslaught of trouble of late, thanks largely to the actions of Chris Cuomo – formerly the top draw at the station – thanks to his inappropriate actions in regard to his brother’s sexual assault scandal during his time as the Governor of New York.

Cuomo has since been fired, and a war of words has erupted between he and his former employer.  Just yesterday it was reported that CNN was rebuking Cuomo’s claims that they were aware of the poor behavior of their primetime star.

Today, Cuomo is setting himself up to sue CNN.

Fired CNN host Chris Cuomo is set to sue the network if it balks at paying him at least $18 million to cover what’s left on his contract, sources told The Post on Monday.

Cuomo, 51, has hired lawyers and is preparing to file the lawsuit over the remainder of the four-year contract he signed last year — after a bitter back-and-forth about what the network knew of his secret efforts to aid his embattled brother, then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, said sources familiar with the matter.

His contract was reportedly worth $6 million annually, leaving between $18 million and $20 million that he would be owed, sources said, adding that Chris Cuomo would also likely seek damages.

The network was not entertained by the idea.

But CNN has “no intention of paying [Chris] Cuomo a penny,” an insider said.

“If he gets a settlement, there would be uproar,” the source added.

Cuomo has also left his SiriusXM radio program this week, leaving the longtime anchor with no audience to complain to.
