Tennessee Democrat Introduces Bill To Eradicate Electoral College Forever
Tennessee Democrat Congressman Steve Cohen has introduced multiple new bills.
One deals with the elimination of the electoral college.
In other words, Trump bad! Hillary Clinton good!
The other, also obviously aimed directly at President Trump, would prohibit presidents from pardoning themselves or family members.
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, introduced two Constitutional Amendments today on the opening day of the new Congress. The first would eliminate the Electoral College and provide for the direct election of the President and Vice President of the United States. The second would limit the presidential pardon power by prohibiting presidents from pardoning themselves, members of their families, members of their administrations and their campaign staff.
Cohen: “In two presidential elections since 2000, including the most recent one in which Hillary Clinton won 2.8 million more votes than her opponent, the winner of the popular vote did not win the election because of the distorting effect of the outdated Electoral College. Americans expect and deserve the winner of the popular vote to win office. More than a century ago, we amended our Constitution to provide for the direct election of U.S. Senators. It is past time to directly elect our President and Vice President.“
Cohen: “Presidents should not pardon themselves, their families, their administration or campaign staff. This constitutional amendment would expressly prohibit this and any future president, from abusing the pardon power.“
Aside from the stock market crashing at the very end of the year due to the fed raising interest rates and Trump going to war with China over tariffs, 2018 wasn’t all that bad for America.
After all, unemployment is strikingly low and consumer confidence is high.
Neither of those things could be said during the Obama years.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t get it, though.
According to her, 2018 was a “dark time for our country.”
From The Hill:
Hillary Clinton on Monday called 2018 “in many ways” a “dark time for our country” in a New Year’s Instagram post.
The former secretary of state added that she is “grateful to everyone who brought light into it,” including activists, journalists, election organizers, candidates and protesters.

Anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele has some news an honest media would love to report.
As we’ve all witnessed for a while now, the MSM isn’t on the level anymore.
Steele has now revealed that twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, along with the Democrat National Committee, paid him to help challenge the validity of the 2016 election if she lost.
Hillary and the DNC presumed Russia would’ve helped Trump, which is what they would have challenged.
Hmm.
Wasn’t Hillary the one who slammed Trump for saying he might contest the result of the race?
From Washington Times:
British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the Democrat-financed anti-Trump dossier, said in a court case that he was hired by a Democratic law firm in preparation for Hillary Clinton challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election.
He said the law firm Perkins Coie wanted to be in a position to contest the results based on evidence he unearthed on the Trump campaign conspiring with Moscow on election interference.
Steele wrote: “Fusion’s immediate client was law firm Perkins Coie. It engaged Fusion to obtain information necessary for Perkins Coie LLP to provide legal advice on the potential impact of Russian involvement on the legal validity of the outcome of the 2016 US Presidential election.“
“Based on that advice, parties such as the Democratic National Committee and HFACC Inc. (also known as ‘Hillary for America’) could consider steps they would be legally entitled to take to challenge the validity of the outcome of that election.“
Businessman Donald Trump was thinking about the idea of a Trump Tower in Russia in 2015, 2016-ish.
Naturally, some paired this deal (that was never made) to Trump working with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Conservative rock star Mark Levin, lawyer and radio host, explains the legal consequences President Trump could be facing.
Hint: sorry liberals.

“People keep saying, ‘What are the legal implications for Trump?’ There are none. Zero. There’s no legal implication; there’s no legal jeopardy, period. Moreover, in all this so-called reporting and analysis by these phony experts, where did President Trump collude, coordinate, or conspire with the Russians during the election, to fix the result of the election? Where is this evidence? And since there’s not a scintilla of evidence, this should underscore the point that this entire investigation is bogus.”
“Shouldn’t [the media] be cheering over the fact that so far, all the leaks show that Trump did nothing? Shouldn’t they be celebrating that, that in our republic, the president that we chose is guilty of nothing? That he didn’t collaborate, he didn’t coordinate, he didn’t conspire with the Russians? But they’re not. They keep bringing in these phony experts, who are utterly predictable. ‘You know, uh, if I were Don Jr., I’d be worried about now’ — the country should be worried about now, about what’s taking place. The country should be worried.”

“How many more damn times do I have to explain that it is the position of the United States Department of Justice that you cannot indict a sitting president? He’s not in any kind of legal jeopardy.”
President Trump is elated now that Jeff Sessions is no longer attorney general.
The relationship between the two soured when the former AG recused himself from the Mueller/Russia probe.
Now, Trump has some words for Sessions he won’t forget anytime soon.
SPOILER ALERT: “Jeff Sessions should be ashamed of himself!”
