CA Gov. Newsom Now Wants Ban For Gas-Powered Cars; EPA Says He ‘Can’t Even Keep The Lights On Today’

Andrew Wheeler, Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency came out and gave a bit of a chastisement for California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his recent executive order to try and ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles by the year 2035, calling the measure totally unrealistic.

Boy, this Newsom fellow really is embracing the far-left agenda, isn’t he? First, he tries to ban churches from worshiping God using COVID-19 as an excuse, now this? Tsk, tsk.

Wheeler sent the warning to the Democratic governor in a letter on Monday. The EPA head said that Newsom’s order seemed “mostly aspirational” but warned that following through with parts of the order would first require permission from the federal government.

“Your recent Executive Order (EO) establishing a goal that 100 percent of new vehicle sales be zero emission by 2035 raises serious questions regarding its legality and practicality,” Wheeler began. “While the EO seems mostly aspirational and on its own would accomplish very little, any attempt by the California Air Resources Board to implement sections of it may require California to request a waiver to U.S. EPA.”

“Beyond the significant questions of legality and the fact that consumer demand for the type of vehicle you would mandate has never met the aspirations of California’s political leadership, your state is already struggling to maintain reliable electricity for today’s demands,” Wheeler continued. “California’s record of rolling blackouts – unprecedented in size and scope – coupled with recent requests to neighboring states for power begs the question of how you expect to run an electric car fleet that will come with significant increases in electricity demand, when you can’t even keep the lights on today.”

Wheeler then went on to encourage Newsom to help resolve California’s power and emissions problems through the use of deregulation instead of adding more to them.

“By setting realistic goals and maintaining a comprehensive awareness of impacts to the economy, we have achieved tangible environmental progress while improving the lives and livelihoods of our citizenry. I urge you to step away from commitments to singular technologies,” the administrator said. “While it is tempting for federal or state agencies to regulate with a particular technology in mind, it is far more productive to provide innovators the freedom to develop the technologies of tomorrow.”

Just because conservatives are against more regulations for businesses and individuals in the name of “climate change,” with all of it’s still unsettled science, doesn’t mean we hate the environment. And if the evidence comes out in solid favor of climate change being something that humans contribute to, of course the right will be on board with trying to fix the problem.

The difference is, we’ll seek to do it without the interference of the federal or state government into the private sector. There’s lots of things that can be done through the free market to help clean up the environment. Rather than go big government, let’s try that.

Obama: My Admin Didn’t Pursue Reparations Due to the ‘Politics of White Resistance’

Ummm, okay then.

No black person with any self-respect would ask for reparations from taxpayers who had nothing to do with slavery. That being said, a lot of black people would love reparations – despite living in a country where they can become a multi-millionaire if they work hard enough. From The Daily Wire: Former President Barack Obama told his podcast co-host, Bruce Springsteen, that he would have liked to pursue reparations for slavery as part of his presidential agenda, but that the “politics of white resistance” made the issue a “non-starter.” Obama and Springsteen recently launched a podcast together where the pair discuss how to pursue “unity” among Americans and forge friendships across party, class, and racial lines. The podcast is billed as two friends from polar opposite backgrounds coming together — Springsteen from a working-class New Jersey upbringing and Obama from a childhood spent in Hawaii and later, in Chicago — but both Springsteen and Obama are now wealthy Democrats. Obama blabbered, “And what I saw during my presidency was the politics of White resistance and resentment. The talk of ‘welfare queens’ and the talk of the ‘undeserving’ poor. And the backlash against affirmative action. All that made the prospect of actually proposing any kind of coherent, meaningful reparations program struck me as, politically, not only a nonstarter but potentially counterproductive.” From Daily Wire: Former first lady Michelle Obama demonized tens of millions of Americans on Saturday after news organizations declared Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election—despite the fact that ballots are still being counted and the Trump campaign has filed lawsuits in several states—claiming without evidence that those who voted for President Donald Trump voted to support “lies, hate, chaos, and division.” LOOK: https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141018480578567 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141020510625797 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141021647269888 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141022570131457 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141023979270145 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141025808134144 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141665821061122 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141667414904833 https://twitter.com/MichelleObama/status/1325141669021425664

He is most likely responsible for the deaths of countless Americans in his state, due to poor COVID-19 policies. He’s also facing allegations of sexual harassment. If this guy was a Republican, he would’ve been forced to resign long ago. Luckily for Andrew Cuomo, the MSM is on his side. Here’s the scoop, via New York Post: A former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday provided new details to back up her claims of sexual harassment — including an allegation that New York’s top elected official kissed her “on the lips” without warning inside his Manhattan office. Lindsey Boylan — now a Democratic candidate for Manhattan borough president — made the stunning allegation in an essay posted on the Medium website. Boylan said the incident took place after her 2018 promotion to be Cuomo’s deputy secretary for economic development and special advisor to the governor — a job she initially turned down “because I didn’t want to be near him.” WATCH: https://twitter.com/DailyCaller/status/1361406820712140802?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1361406820712140802%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fgov-cuomo-now-blaming-experts-staff-for-bringing-covid-into-nursing-homes%2F https://twitter.com/dcexaminer/status/1361406777036845062?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1361406777036845062%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fgov-cuomo-now-blaming-experts-staff-for-bringing-covid-into-nursing-homes%2F https://twitter.com/phillyrich1/status/1361409907170435076?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1361409907170435076%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fgov-cuomo-now-blaming-experts-staff-for-bringing-covid-into-nursing-homes%2F MORE: https://twitter.com/JaniceDean/status/1361411492218867712 https://twitter.com/JaniceDean/status/1361409204758736907?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1361409204758736907%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fgov-cuomo-now-blaming-experts-staff-for-bringing-covid-into-nursing-homes%2F https://twitter.com/JaniceDean/status/1361412427137634307?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1361412427137634307%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fgov-cuomo-now-blaming-experts-staff-for-bringing-covid-into-nursing-homes%2F
