CBS Pushes False Info on Georgia’s New Voting Law, Encourages People to ‘Help Fight’
Yet another reason not to trust the MSM.

CBS, like every other mainstream media outlet, has no intention of remaining impartial. The heads of the networks all want you to know exactly where they stand, which is with the immoral left.
Check this out, via The Daily Wire:
CBS News, in a tweet pushing what was supposed to be a straight news story, promoted an article as an explainer for how “companies can help fight Georgia’s restrictive new voting law.”

The article itself isn’t as blatantly propagandistic, though it does give activists a platform for spreading continued misinformation and asking corporations to hurt the people of Georgia due to their elected officials’ political decisions. The CBS tweet said the article contained “3 ways companies can help fight Georgia’s restrictive new voting law,” but the article claims those three points are simply what activists are “asking for.”
CONTINUED:
CBS falsely presents Georgia’s new voting reform, claiming the bill contains “a measure that requires voters to present a photo ID when voting by mail.” This is untrue. The bill requires people to list their driver’s license or state voting card number on their absentee ballot. Such numbers are required for numerous official government forms.
The CBS article also accepts activist alarmism that limiting the time people have to request an absentee ballot and where ballot drop boxes can be placed amounts to racist voter suppression, even though a Washington Post fact check found that experts the newspaper spoke to said “the net effect [of the law] was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.”
Does anybody still even watch anything on CBS?

The politicization of American sports has been ongoing for some time, perhaps decades, but the most recent acceleration of this melding has come thanks to the power of social media and the blurring of the line between celebrity and athlete. At the forefront of this movement has been the NBA, and, more specifically, superstar LeBron James. This week, James came under fire for a tweet in which he referenced the Derek Chauvin trial’s guilty verdicts, with a photo of another officer who was involved in the shooting of a young black girl and text stating “you’re next”. The tweet was seen as a threat by many, including the Fraternal Order of Police who responded harshly. On Wednesday, James tweeted a photo of the officer involved in the shooting with a caption reading “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY.” The tweet has since been deleted. James was reacting to the deadly police shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant. Hours later, the National Fraternal Order of Police tweeted a photo of James’ original tweet, saying: “[email protected], with his vast resources & influence, should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless. The officer saved a young girl’s life. No amount of gaslighting will change that fact.” James attempted to walk back the tweet after deleting it, by issuing an explanation that garnered only a lukewarm response online.

Biden Administration Reveal Unwieldy Goal for Greenhouse Emissions
Is this The Green New Deal decentralized?

As the White House returned to Democratic control in the early days of 2021, there was a real hope among those on the left side of the aisle that this would bring about a new prioritization of climate issues, and possibly even the “Green New Deal”. That plan, which was buoyed by the involvement of social media maven and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was quickly labeled a deal-breaker by Republicans, and any mention of the Green New Deal would bring with it a great deal of political gravity. So, instead of pushing forward under the banner of that now-tainted name, President Joe Biden is simply decentralizing the plan and pulling several different climate levers at once. President Joe Biden is pledging to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 50% to 52% by 2030, in the latest push by the administration to aggressively combat climate change. The target, announced Thursday, more than doubles the country’s prior commitment under the 2015 Paris climate agreement, when the Obama administration set out to cut emissions 26% to 28% below 2005 levels by 2025. The U.S. is currently not yet halfway to meeting that goal. Biden’s pledge on Earth Day is in line with what environmental groups and hundreds of executives at major companies have pushed for. The president announce the target at the closely watched global leaders’ climate summit on Thursday, during which he hopes to urge global cooperation to address the climate crisis. Make no mistake about it: This is still the Green New Deal…the left just isn’t brave enough to call it that.
