CDC’s New Mask Guidance Punishes The Vaccinated To Protect The NON-Vaccinated

The CDC’s new mask guidance telling vaccinated Americans to wear masks in some areas is unfair and imbecilic.

On Tuesday, the CDC issued a revised masked guidance recommending indoor-mask mandates even for the fully vaccinated in areas experiencing spikes in COVID-19 cases. Folks, there are enough vials of vaccines for everyone in America to get a vaccine if they wish. Therefore the new CDC guidance is punishing vaccinated people to protect the people who made the personal choice to refuse the vaccine.

While I will put on a mask at a private retailer that requests masks, other situations will find me maskless.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) says the new guidance further erodes the CDC’s credibility and adds that the once-mighty CDC is working with the Democrats to aid in their quest to control the American people. He told Sean Hannity.

“…as a matter of politics from the shutdowns, we saw all over the country, to the schools that were closed and the kids that were hurt to the jack-booted thugs that went persecuting people of faith who were going to church and singing in church, we saw a political agenda instead of common sense to keep us safe. And I gotta say that culminated yesterday in the CDC’s absurd decision that people who have been vaccinated must nonetheless wear masks when inside. And that decision, Sean, that’s not science. That’s politics.

(…) Now look, personally, I’ve gotten the vaccine. My family’s gotten the vaccine. That’s the choice we made. But I also believe in individual freedom and responsibility. It’s your choice to do what’s right for you, what’s right for your family. And you don’t need a bunch of meddling bureaucrats from Washington setting a mandate and deciding you have to do this to go to work, to go to school, to get on a plane, to live … and this Democratic party, you know… the CDC has destroyed their credibility. A year and a half ago, the CDC was one of the most respected scientific organizations in the world and they allowed themselves to be politicized with Dr. Fauci at the helm of the politicization and right now their credibility is in tatters because they’ve behaved more like an arm of the DNC than an actual serious medical and scientific organization.”

Here’s a video of his Hannity segment.

Cruz’s objection to masks for the vaccinated was backed up by a graphic representation of vaccinated people who then catch a serious case of COVID that appeared on the cover of Friday’s NY Post. It demonstrates that a minuscule amount of vaxxed Americans catch a serious case of the virus, and even an even tinier number of them pass away.

The bottom line is the CDC is recommending masks for 161,000,000 vaccinated Americans because .0035% of those who vaxxed were hospitalized, and .0007% of them have passed away.

The NY Post used CDC numbers released as of July 19th for the graph. And according to the CDC, even those numbers may be inflated.

  • 1,529 (27%) of 5,601 hospitalizations reported as asymptomatic or not related to COVID-19.
  • 292 (26%) of 1,141 fatal cases reported as asymptomatic or not related to COVID-19.

In other words, they had COVID and were hospitalized or passed away, but those hospitalizations or deaths may have nothing to do with COVID-19.

These numbers prove that there is no reason for vaccinated people to wear a mask.

The only people masks might help are the people who aren’t vaccinated. My wife, kids, and I have all got our two pokes. Yes, it was mostly for health reasons, and it worked. According to the CDC’s last report of vaccinated Americans who caught COVID (through April 30), only one-hundredth of one percent of vaccinated Americans caught the bug. But along with the health reasons, the vaccine is worth it because, after a year of national quarantine, the shots will allow us to return to a more normal life.

This new CDC mask guidance takes that benefit away from the vaccinated to protect the non-vaccinated. What is beyond comprehension is why are the vaccinated people being punished for the actions of the non-vaccinated? This may sound callous, but the people who decided against getting the vaccine made their own decision—and if they catch COVID, that too is their decision. The CDC and governments who want to mandate compliance with the CDC’s new guidance should keep my family and me out of it.

There is one case where I think masks should be necessary for both the vaccinated and non-vaccinated. This store owner posted a picture of a sign posted outside his store explaining the only valid case where people should wear required to wear a mask no matter what is their vaccine status.

There are some names I would add to the above but the sign is valid.

At Hot Air, Ed Morrissey explains that many of the “leaks” we are seeing about the Delta Variant from MSM sources are unsubstantiated at best. He agrees that what the country is really facing is a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.” I strongly recommend you read Ed’s post by clicking here. “Leak” from CDC: Delta more transmissible than smallpox, chickenpox, or Ebola.”

Stephanie Grisham Makes Wild Claims About ‘Secret Meetings’ Ahead of Jan. 6th

The clear-headed among us will recognize this nothing-burger for what it is, however.

Not everything is a spy novel, or a Hollywood blockbuster.  Not every little political machination in our nation is some sort of clandestine and seismic event.  This is something that we all must remember during the hyperbole-laden headline-mongering that the January 6th committee is looking to drum up.

The group’s very existence appears to be hinged on the idea that Donald Trump is a wannabe dictator of some sort who tried to take over America 12 months and 2 weeks ago.  They appear ready to figuratively die on this hill, and they have no qualms with taking the absence of knowledge and fashioning it into something sinister – much like the conspiracy theorists that they love to deride so much.

For instance, there are now headlines swirling around the mainstream media that tell of “secret meetings” that Trump was having just ahead of the attack on the Capitol – the subject and substance of which is undeniably unknown.

Yet still, these are presented as insidious incidents that somehow prove something that they’ve been looking to prove for a long time…despite our complete lack of knowledge regarding the actual facts of the matter.

Former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham told the House committee investigating the Capitol riot that former President Donald Trump had secret meetings in his residence in the days running up to January 6, The Guardian reported.

Two sources told The Guardian that she told the committee that Trump held the meetings, and that only a few of his aides were aware of them.

She said she was not sure exactly who attended but identified Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and the White House chief usher Timothy Harleth, as two people who scheduled and directed participants to the meetings, The Guardian reported.

The infotainment industry’s sources claim that Grisham’s testimony was “more significant” than expected, but there is nothing unusual about the sitting US President having meetings in which not every single solitary person in the White House is included.

Nonetheless, Grisham’s nothing-burger continues to gain traction in the media.

Donald Trump Gets Bad News from SCOTUS Regarding January 6th

The Democrats just gained a whole lot of 2022 and 2024 ammunition.

In their pursuit of political points, the January 6th committee has exuded a nonstop barrage of actions taken at the expense of former President Donald Trump, generally believed to be in the interest of stymying his plans for the 2024 presidential election.

Their attacks have fairly transparent of late, subpoenaing anyone and everyone who had contact with the former President in and around the date in question, and even some who had nothing to do with the attack on the Capitol at all.

This week, the group scored a rather major win in the Supreme Court, which will allow them access to a trove of documents from the Trump White House.

The U.S. Supreme Court has delivered a blow to former President Donald Trump, rejecting his request to block release of White House records being sought by the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The court’s order paves the way for the release of records from the National Archives. The records could shed light on the events that led to the riot by Trump supporters protesting the results of the 2020 presidential election, which was won by Democrat Joe Biden.

In its decision Wednesday, the Supreme Court noted that the question of whether a former president can claim executive privilege need not be answered in this case, because a lower court had already decided.

And they didn’t beat around the bush.

“Because the Court of Appeals concluded that President Trump’s claims would have failed even if he were the incumbent, his status as a former President necessarily made no difference to the court’s decision,” the court said in its order.

There is little doubt that this access will only cause the scope of the already-controversial investigation to widen, and allow the Democrats a plethora of new angles from which to launch their politically-focused onslaught.
