Chris Cuomo Fired by CNN Over Scandal Involving Boorish Brother
After just a few days of investigation into Chris Cuomo’s alleged improprieties, the anchor has now lost his job.
Cuomo, who stood accused of using his media power to assist his disgraced brother Andrew Cuomo concoct a PR campaign after being credibly accused of sexually assaulting and harassing at least a dozen women, was facing renewed allegations in the case.
CNN said Saturday that anchor Chris Cuomo has been “terminated” by the network, “effective immediately.”

CNN suspended Cuomo “indefinitely” on Tuesday. The law firm retained by the network submitted its findings on Friday, according to a source with knowledge of the matter, and CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker fired Cuomo on Saturday.
Cuomo will be replaced, at least for the time being, by fellow CNN personality Michael Smerconish, who would regularly fill in for Cuomo at other times.
