CNN’s Selective Journalism CALLED OUT by San Diego Affiliate

CNN just got BURNED by this local news team, LIVE, and on the air!

Today, information comes to us hard and fast, often in waves of unrelenting terror.

One moment you’re being smothered by immigration coverage.  The next, you’re being shouted at by pundits blaming one another for the government shutdown.  Heck, you may even get to see a CNN contributor file her nails, live on the air.

This, combined with the undeniable slant that every corporate news channel seems to hold, means that we are constantly steering back and forth in our minds, attempting to figure out where the truth lies depending on what our “news” source is.

The mainstream media likes to deny this sort of slant with profound-sounding, but meaningless pleas for attention and slogans like “Facts First” or “Fair and Balanced”.

Luckily, not everyone in the media is under this spell, and every so often they speak out.  Such is the case this week with one news team out of San Diego.

A San Diego television station on Thursday said that CNN had asked for a “local view” and then “declined to hear from us” after past reports from the station showed that a border wall was effective.

A CNN spokesperson pushed back on KUSI’s claim on Friday, calling it a “non story” since the network ultimately didn’t book any reporters from stations in the San Diego area.

“We called several local stations to book someone for a show. We didn’t end up booking any of them,” says a CNN spokesperson in a statement to The Hill. “That happens many times every single day. We did, however, book a reporter from KUSI for a story on immigration and the border wall on CNN in November. This is a non story.”

KUSI had a different take:

Could KUSI’s public rebuke of CNN signal a turning of the tide in the media, with Americans on the front lines finally turning against the corporately controlled mainstream and their constant distortion?

We can only hope.

State Police Force Faces Mass Resignations Over Vaccine Mandate

That can’t be good…

Published

Americans these days appear to be more concerned than ever with their bodily sovereignty, and this could create an enormous shift in the way that some folks choose their careers.

In particular, the increase in vaccine mandates among certain professions has driven a number of American workers to seek new employment, including a number of healthcare workers in New York State.  In fact, the exodus in NYC could be so significant that the National Guard and foreign doctors may need to be brought in to fill the gap.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Massachusetts, it’s the police force that could soon be gutted.

The State Police Association of Massachusetts (SPAM) said dozens of troopers have submitted their resignation papers as a result of the state’s COVID vaccine mandate.

The state is requiring all executive department employees to show proof of vaccination by October 17, or risk losing their jobs.

The Union released a statement in which they suggested that these officers would seek employment in places with “reasonable” practices instead.

To date, dozens of troopers have already submitted their resignation paperwork, some of whom plan to return to other departments offering reasonable alternatives such as mask wearing and regular testing.  The State Police are already critically short staffed and acknowledged this by the unprecedented moves which took troopers from specialty units that investigate homicides, terrorism, computer crimes, arsons, gangs, narcotics, and human trafficking, and returned them to uniformed patrol.

The debate over vaccine mandates has been a heated one here in the United States, and with the federal government now solidly pushing for more of these regulations to go into place, there is no end in sight for the argument.

Chris Cuomo’s Groping Victim Eviscerates His Response to the Accusations

The creepy Cuomos are at it again.

Chris Cuomo

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is in a predicament that may feel familiar to his family this week, and his response to the issue is getting exactly the sort of eye-rolling write-off that his brother Andrew grew accustomed to during his final days as the disgraced Governor of New York.

Cuomo the newsman, like his lawmaker sibling, stands accused of an aggressive act of sexual harassment involving a woman with whom he worked.  And, also like Andrew, Chris’ response to the accusation is not going over well.

In a guest essay for the New York Times published Friday, former executive producer Shelley Ross wrote Cuomo squeezed the cheek of her buttock without her permission in 2005. She also produced an email where Cuomo appeared to admit to the incident and apologized for his behavior. Ross expected CNN’s most-watched host to have evolved since the incident occurred, but feels his response to her essay proves he’s “no more enlightened” today than he was at the time of the inappropriate touching.

“I was hoping that in 15, 16 years that he had changed, but he’s no more enlightened today than he was then, as demonstrated by his response,” Ross told Insider.

Here’s where the two differ:

“As Shelley acknowledges, our interaction was not sexual in nature. It happened 16 years ago in a public setting when she was a top executive at ABC. I apologized to her then, and I meant it,” Cuomo said.

However, Ross doesn’t seem satisfied with Cuomo’s statement.

“I don’t acknowledge that there’s anything that was ‘our interaction.’ I was not a participant,” Ross told Insider. “I was groped. And so to say that I acknowledge interaction, no. That shows a lack of enlightenment.”

Ross has publicly stated that she isn’t seeking to have Cuomo ousted from CNN over the incident, however.
