BUH-BYE, JOE!

If Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez carries any clout, then Joe Biden’s 2020 hopes may already be dashed.

The Democrat Socialist Congresswoman is done with the former VP thanks to his “middle ground” stance on “climate change.”

Here’s the deal…

Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden is crafting a climate change policy he hopes will appeal to both environmentalists and the blue-collar voters who elected Donald Trump, according to two sources, carving out a middle ground approach that will likely face heavy resistance from green activists.

The backbone of the policy will likely include the United States re-joining the Paris Climate Agreement and preserving U.S. regulations on emissions and vehicle fuel efficiency that Trump has sought to undo, according to one of the sources, Heather Zichal, who is part of a team advising Biden on climate change. She previously advised President Barack Obama.

The second source, a former energy department official advising Biden’s campaign who asked not to be named, said the policy could also be supportive of nuclear energy and fossil fuel options like natural gas and carbon capture technology, which limit emissions from coal plants and other industrial facilities.

Someone named Naomi Klein decided to respond to Biden’s policy:

No Joe, there is no “middle ground” on climate breakdown – there is bold, transformative action or there is sinking ground, burning ground and churning ground. “Presidential hopeful Biden looking for ‘middle ground’ climate policy”

Then, Ocasio-Cortez entered:

This is a dealbreaker.

There is no “middle ground” w/ climate denial & delay.

Blaming “blue collar” Americans as the main opponents to bold climate policy is gas lobbyist 101.

We’re not going to solve the climate crisis w/ this lack of leadership. Our kids’ lives are at stake.

Reactions:

Ocasio-Cortez recently said about the Department of Veterans Affairs, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

What’s weird is that everyone seems to agree, for years now, that the VA is wildly broken.

In a surprising twist, President Donald Trump actually agrees with AOC.

Well, he agrees with her in his own way.

LOOK:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is correct, the VA is not broken, it is doing great. But that is only because of the Trump Administration. We got Veterans Choice & Accountability passed. “President Trump deserves a lot of credit.” Dan Caldwell, Concerned Veterans of America

From Daily Caller:

Trump touted a measure he signed in 2017 in the Wednesday tweet. The legislation fixed long-running accountability issues and ensured that incompetent individuals failing to adequately serve veterans did not remain on the VA payroll.

Trump has repeatedly touted the measure, even using a famous catchphrase from his “The Apprentice” days.

“It’s called VA accountability,” he said at a June 2018 rally in Minnesota. “Now, you bring the person into the office and you say, ‘Jim, I’m sorry to tell you, you are fired. Get out of here.’”

Ocasio-Cortez’s poll numbers are in the garbage.

In fact, she’s far less popular than President Trump…and even Hillary Clinton.

It’s not hard to see why. AOC constantly finds a way to stick her foot in her mouth.

What’s even sadder is that she routinely doubles down on her mistakes, which only serves to exacerbate the situation.

During a recent town hall in her home disrict, Ocasio-Cortez (NY) was heckled.

WATCH:

Yikes. She can’t be too thrilled about that.

Pentagon Makes Scary Suggestion About Possible Troop Buildup

President Trump isn’t going to like it.

The Pentagon today seemed to contradict President Trump regarding US military presence abroad with a worrisome statement. Over the course of the last few weeks, tensions in the Middle East have been rising steadily.  Much of this turmoil has come from an ongoing series of attacks on the Saudi Arabians’ oil infrastructure which are believed to have been committed by either the Iranian Revolutionary Guard or their proxies. In the aftermath of the first two attacks, one that targeted four oil tankers and another that detonated an explosive at a Saudi Pipeline location, there was confusion in Washington DC.  President Trump was adamant that he wanted to avoid a war with Iran – despite the Persian nation’s incessant threats against the US. On the other side of the coin, however, was national security adviser John Bolton, whose hawkish lust for war is fairly well document from his previous stints in and around the White House. Now the Pentagon in weighing in, and Donald Trump won’t like it. The Pentagon on Thursday will present plans to the White House to send up to 10,000 more troops to the Middle East, in a move to beef up defenses against potential Iranian threats , U.S. officials said. The officials said no final decision has been made yet, and it’s not clear if the White House would approve sending all or just some of the requested forces. Officials said the move is not in response to any new threat from Iran but is aimed at reinforcing security in the region. They said the troops would be defensive forces, and the discussions include additional Patriot missile batteries, more ships and increased efforts to monitor Iran. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has indicated that he sides with the President on the matter, hoping to deter Iran from…

Not Just a Trade War Anymore: Senate Ponders New China Sanctions Over Concentration Camps

There are some evils in the world that must not go unpunished.

China

Much of the talk on the world’s economic stage of late has been in regard to the showdown between Washington and Beijing. Of course, the magnitude of this conflict warrants the concern.  We are talking about two of the world most powerful economic forces squaring off in a fight that could bring much the world into the ring with it. Both sides, at least of this writing, seem hellbent on coming out victorious – leading to inordinate weaving and bobbing by the stock markets and righteous anger in America’s agricultural heartland. Today, the US is considering imposing new sanctions on China…but not over this trade dispute.  These sanctions are in retaliation for something far more sinister. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed a bill Tuesday that, if enacted, would call for sanctions on the Chinese government and select individuals over the mass imprisonment of potentially millions of Muslims in concentration camps in eastern Xinjiang province. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), under Xi Jinping, has building hundreds of “re-eduation centers” that it claims are “vocational training” facilities for Uighurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other minorities. Those who have survived them call them “concentration camps” – locations where they are taken by force to learn Mandarin, renouncing their Muslim faith, memorize communist propaganda songs, and engage in slave labor. The gruesome tales from inside these camps are enough to boil any Americans’ blood; sleep deprivation, electroshock torture, and even death. As if that weren’t enough… The camps are so agonizing, a Kazakh survivor told Radio Free Asia (RFA) on Monday, that officials have established specific “crying time” to give those imprisoned a chance to release their frustrations. “They say, ‘Now you can cry,’ but if we cry at other times when we feel the need, they criticize and threaten us, saying they will…
