DEM EAT DEM: AOC Calls on Schumer to Make Life 'Difficult' for Fellow Democrat

With Joe Biden’s approval numbers continuing to tank, the last thing that the Democratic Party needs right now is a civil war. But, unfortunately for them, it appears that some wild internal conflict is no longer avoidable.

The latest turgid tension comes to us, unsurprisingly, from “The Squad”; specially Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  The precocious progressive is now demanding that one of the nation’s most powerful liberals, Chuck Schumer, take aim directly at fellow Democrat Kyrsten Sinema.

New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a new swipe at Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, a moderate Arizona Democrat, and told Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to make her life “as difficult as possible.”

The comment came after Sinema angrily told Schumer, D-N.Y., to pick up the pace when it comes to conducting a floor vote in the upper chamber – a process that has been known to drag on for hours.

So, what exactly happened?

“Could we have some discipline in the votes, ever?” Sinema said to Schumer during a Tuesday night vote, according to a Bloomberg News reporter. “You’re in charge!”

Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to urge the majority leader to continue the Senate’s painstaking procedures for the mere purpose of annoying moderate Democrats like Sinema and Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., who she has deemed “obstructionists.”

“Actually he should continue to make their lives as difficult as possible and treat them the way they treat, say, public housing residents. Or parents who rely on CTC [Child Tax Credit],” she said. “When they improve, maybe process can improve too.

“Why should we make the lives of obstructionists easier?” she added.

AOC is well known for her headline-grabbing stunts, but this dog-eat-dog schtick is beyond the pale for many Democrats.
