Democrats Hopes For Far-Left Senate Agenda Crumble With Election Results

Democrats who were hoping to they would be able to pull off some major victories in the Senate and take control of both houses of Congress, which would enable them to have an opportunity to let loose with a whole lot of socialist policies if — notice I said “if” — Joe Biden is officially declared the president, just got those dreams squashed thanks to election results that show winning a significant margin is now out of reach.

Democrats have been trying to nail down a decisive victory in the Senate that would help clear a path for them to take the majority in 2021, but things are not swinging in that direction.

So, ladies and gentlemen, let’s make something clear right off the bat. The American people are still not in full support of a socialist agenda for our country. Take solace in that.

While four Senate races remain undecided, two lean toward Republicans. At best, Democrats next year would control the U.S. Senate with 50 votes, plus the tie-breaking vote of the presumptive vice president, Kamala Harris.

The thin margin is not enough to enact a sweeping agenda that would include eliminating the filibuster and packing the Supreme Court, as many liberals had been hoping for.

“That’s crazy talk,” Sen. Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, said when Democrats returned to the Capitol on Monday.

While Manchin and other Democrats have been vocal about their opposition to getting rid of the filibuster, others have made it clear that they want this to go the way of the dinosaur. But that isn’t likely to happen at all without a more significant majority in the Senate.

“Even if Democrats do regain the majority, there will not be the votes necessary to eliminate the filibuster,” Jim Manley, a senior aide to former Majority Leader Harry Reid said. “There are a handful of Democrats strongly opposed to such a move.”

Regardless, Sen. Chuck Schumer will likely remain the head of the Democratic Party in the Senate.

Susan Ferrechio of The Washington Examiner wrote in her report, “He’ll be tasked with determining the direction of the Democratic agenda after disappointing election results that some in the party have blamed on the liberal wish list promoted by prominent members of the party, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat who called for defunding the police, eliminating immigration and customs officers, and packing the Supreme Court.”

“We as a party are going to have another debate about where we are going as a party, and I, for one, have no problems with that,” Manley said to reporters with the Washington Examiner. “But we didn’t do as well as we could have last week, and that is a problem.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made it clear that she’s no fan at all of those Democrat lawmakers who have blamed the losses that the party has incurred on the far-left agenda.

“The blind impulse to blame activists and the left both demoralizes a key constituency and distracts from asking real Qs & fixing serious operational issues,” AOC tweeted.

“There are swing seat Dem incumbents who cosponsored the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, etc and if I’m not mistaken every single one won re-election,” she said.

The far left agenda is precisely what cost them the election, regardless of whether or not AOC wants to admit it. Americans do not want the extremes that she and the rest of the “Squad” continue to push forward as solutions for the problems that face our country.

Hopefully, the Democrats will start to understand this and push back against radical elements within their ranks and move back to the center.

Obama: My Admin Didn’t Pursue Reparations Due to the ‘Politics of White Resistance’

Ummm, okay then.

No black person with any self-respect would ask for reparations from taxpayers who had nothing to do with slavery. That being said, a lot of black people would love reparations – despite living in a country where they can become a multi-millionaire if they work hard enough. From The Daily Wire: Former President Barack Obama told his podcast co-host, Bruce Springsteen, that he would have liked to pursue reparations for slavery as part of his presidential agenda, but that the “politics of white resistance” made the issue a “non-starter.” Obama and Springsteen recently launched a podcast together where the pair discuss how to pursue “unity” among Americans and forge friendships across party, class, and racial lines. The podcast is billed as two friends from polar opposite backgrounds coming together — Springsteen from a working-class New Jersey upbringing and Obama from a childhood spent in Hawaii and later, in Chicago — but both Springsteen and Obama are now wealthy Democrats. Obama blabbered, “And what I saw during my presidency was the politics of White resistance and resentment. The talk of ‘welfare queens’ and the talk of the ‘undeserving’ poor. And the backlash against affirmative action. All that made the prospect of actually proposing any kind of coherent, meaningful reparations program struck me as, politically, not only a nonstarter but potentially counterproductive.” From Daily Wire: Former first lady Michelle Obama demonized tens of millions of Americans on Saturday after news organizations declared Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election—despite the fact that ballots are still being counted and the Trump campaign has filed lawsuits in several states—claiming without evidence that those who voted for President Donald Trump voted to support “lies, hate, chaos, and division.” LOOK:

‘He Kissed Me On the Lips’ — New Details of Cuomo’s Sexual Harassment Charges Emerge

Must be nice having the MSM behind you!!

John Salvatore

He is most likely responsible for the deaths of countless Americans in his state, due to poor COVID-19 policies. He’s also facing allegations of sexual harassment. If this guy was a Republican, he would’ve been forced to resign long ago. Luckily for Andrew Cuomo, the MSM is on his side. Here’s the scoop, via New York Post: A former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday provided new details to back up her claims of sexual harassment — including an allegation that New York’s top elected official kissed her “on the lips” without warning inside his Manhattan office. Lindsey Boylan — now a Democratic candidate for Manhattan borough president — made the stunning allegation in an essay posted on the Medium website. Boylan said the incident took place after her 2018 promotion to be Cuomo’s deputy secretary for economic development and special advisor to the governor — a job she initially turned down “because I didn’t want to be near him.” WATCH: MORE:
