Dems Eyeing 2020 Ticket with 30 Year Gap Between Candidates

The fervent and fiery speculation surrounding the democratic tickets for 2020 is about to become a living nightmare for the democratic party as they look to rebound from their embarrassing electoral evisceration in 2016.

What the rest of the nation knew at the time, but the DNC ignored, was that Hillary Clinton was one of the most flawed candidates in modern history, if not the most flawed.  Their attempts to rebound in 2020 could be the fulcrum that sends the entire democratic party into the abyss, or their last chance to prolong the inevitable failure of the party.

This means that the left is slightly desperate, with rumors of odd couple alliances springing up two years removed from the actual contest.

One of those possible pairings has now been revealed by a democratic insider, who has detailed conversations between 76 year old Joe Biden and 46 year old Beto O’Rourke.

Past and current advisers to Biden have held frequent conversations about options to alleviate concerns about age, including teaming him with a younger running mate. One option that has been floated, according to a source with knowledge of the talks, is outgoing Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, who at 46 has become the subject of intense 2020 speculation after nearly beating GOP Sen. Ted Cruz.

The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations. Representatives for Biden and O’Rourke declined to comment for this story.

At a town hall Friday in El Paso, Texas, O’Rourke said he hadn’t made a decision about whether to seek the presidency.

O’Rourke was soundly defeated by republican Ted Cruz in his quest for a Senate seat representing Texas back in the November midterms, despite his attempts to capture the youth vote by skateboarding around a Whataburger parking lot.
