DEMS: Impeachment is Coming If Cohen’s Squealing is True

The coming days will be trying for the President, and for the nation.

For a President as controversial as Donald Trump has been, it is a bit surprising that no fully-fleshed plans for impeachment have already been hatched.

Before Trump was even sworn into office, the left was clamoring about shutting him down, impeaching him, resisting him, and possibly removing him from office using the 25th Amendment…somehow.

Now, two years into the President’s first term, there have been no true attempts at getting impeachment to a vote.  That could all change this week, however, after bombshell reports from Buzzfeed, of all places, has the Commander in Chief implicated in a crime.

Late Thursday night, BuzzFeed News published a report that, if true, could prove historic: President Donald Trump allegedly directed his then–personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress about a real-estate deal he was pursuing in Moscow during the 2016 election. Trump immediately denied the story, but for many Democrats, including those who had previously cautioned against impeaching the president before Special Counsel Robert Mueller produces his findings in the Russia investigation, the report was cause to consider proceeding with impeachment before the Russia probe is finished.

The democrats are reacting:

“If the @BuzzFeed story is true, President Trump must resign or be impeached,” Democratic Representative Joaquin Castro, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, wrote on Twitter. Democratic Senator Chris Murphy weighed in, too. “If Mueller does have multiple sources confirming Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress, then we need to know this ASAP,” he wrote. “Mueller shouldn’t end his inquiry, but it’s about time for him to show Congress his cards before it’s too late for us to act.” Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley followed up on Friday morning: “If this report of Trump suborning false testimony is confirmed, then Trump committed a felony and must resign or be impeached,” he wrote. “This is obstruction of justice,”  Democratic Representative David Cicilline, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, told CNN. “If the facts are true, this is suborning perjury. It’s an impeachable offense.” Representative Jamie Raskin, a member of House leadership, told CNN, “This is a completely impeachable offense, if this report is true.” He said Congress would need to hear from “everybody who was involved” in the alleged conspiracy before moving forward with impeachment.

Brace yourselves, folks out in MAGA-land; trouble is coming for this President.  What we must be very diligent in the coming weeks in not blaming one another for something that the President got himself into…if that’s what this turns out to be.  No mass brawling.  No civil unrest.  It won’t be your neighbor’s fault if the President told Cohen to lie.

Understood?  We’re all Americans.  We’re going to have to work hard in the coming days to act like it.

Reports Out of Camp Biden Say A Flag-Burning Running Mate is In The Works

The democratic frontrunner hasn’t even announced his candidacy yet.

Joe Biden

Joe Biden is an odd bird, there’s no doubt about it, but that hasn’t stopped the democrats from being concerned over his physical and fiscal attributes on the eve of his long-coming 2020 presidential announcement. Biden, who has not officially announced, allowed a well-calculated “slip of the tongue” to be a barometer for himself last week should he go through with it.  And with a nearly complete staff underneath him, it’s really a matter of “when” and not “if” we find ourselves with Biden on the ballot. Now, in an oddly early bit of political chess, Biden’s “not yet campaign” is the source of a report that has the former Vice President eyeing up a controversial VP pick of his own. Advisers for former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign-in-waiting are debating whether to name failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams as his running mate, a Thursday report says. According to Axios, Biden aides believe adding Abrams to the ticket would send a strong signal to voters that he’s not “just another old white guy.” The outlet said Team Biden isn’t going all-in on picking the rising progressive star just yet, worrying that the move could be received as a “gimmick” and open the former Vice President up to a new line of attacks. The move comes at a time in which the democratic party polling shows that rich, old, white men are the most popular candidates that they have so far. Abrams has long been chastised by patriotic Americans for her involvement in a particular protest. Stacey Abrams on Tuesday defended her presence at a 1992 burning of a Georgia state flag, which contained the Confederate battle flag design, saying at a gubernatorial debate, “I’m a very proud Georgian.” “Twenty-six years ago as a college freshman, I along with many other Georgians — including…

Trump Utters Bold, Nonchalant Quip About Mueller Report

This certainly isn’t the mood of a man who is fearful of the report’s findings.

As the liberal left and their cheerleaders in the media continue to play the role of hype-man for Robert Mueller’s coming #RussiaGate report, the Commander in Chief is chill to the max. From nearly the onset of President Trump’s first term in office, Robert Mueller has been lurking like a shadow.  As Special Counsel, Mueller was tasked with finding evidence of “collusion” between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign – a popular conspiracy theory touted by Hillary Clinton during her quest to defeat Trump in that election. What Mueller has uncovered so far appears to be a litany of bizarre crimes of legalese having been committed by former acquaintances of the President, with his indictments to this point being doled out for wrong doings far, far away from Moscow.  This has led to incessant criticism of the Mueller-led probe by the President, who has called the entire theory a “hoax”, and the investigation itself a “witch hunt”. Now, with the mainstream media practically willing the Mueller probe to end, (on account of what they believe will be massive revelations in their quest to oust the President), Trump himself has taken a backseat to the drama, offering a flippant quip regarding the process. Trump responded to a question on whether the public has the right to see the report by saying, “I don’t mind. I mean, frankly, I told the House, if you want, let them see it.” He later added, “[L]et it come out. Let people see it. That’s up to the attorney general. We have a very good attorney general.” The President added wryly that he would like to see the report as well. There is no current consensus as to when the report will land, and whether or not the investigation’s findings will be made public is still the subject…
