Dershowitz Life threatened Over Defending The President’s Civil Liberties

This must stop immediately!

Over the last two years, I’ve written quite a bit about Alan Dershowitz and another liberal professor, Jonathan Turley.

Why? Because before the election of Donald Trump to the presidency these two men were the go-to legal scholars on the left for networks like CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.

Both Dershowitz and Turley are liberal Democrats, and both men have defended Hillary Clinton and other Democrats in the media in the past. However, both men are also intellectually honest and care (above all) about our legal system. That being the case, both men have run afoul of their liberal friends by pointing out the hypocrisy of the left’s attacks on Donald Trump. Both men have defended Trump from spurious legal attacks, and both men have spent hours pointing out that the Democrats were now doing the exact thing they complained about during the Obama and Clinton years.

For this devotion to truth and intellectual honesty both brilliant legal scholars have been shunned by the left.

It’s gotten so bad that Dershowitz was even recently threatened with a horrible death by a RICH, Elitist New York snob.

I don’t care about parties, I’m invited to too many. But at a party this week on Martha’s Vineyard a woman said, ‘If Dershowitz were here tonight I’d stab him through the heart.’

This is a Martha’s Vineyard woman saying she would stab me through the heart.

Another Martha’s Vineyarder, a professor at MIT, Professor Nicholas Negroponte, who has previously said he wished there were no New York Times and that people only the news that represented their own personal world view so they wouldn’t hear opposing points of view, the same guy who said soon there will be a pill you can swallow and you’ll learn French overnight so you won’t have to go through the process of learning French. He’s leading the campaign to try to get other people to shun me in every way and to not engage with me.

Now they are losing because the vast majority of people, even in Martha’s Vineyard and in Chilmark can’t stand people who try to stop speech and try to stop debate, so it’s backfiring…

I don’t think what you are describing is a liberal phenomenon. I’m a liberal. I think it’s a hard left radical phenomenon. I think liberals still support free speech. Liberals support due process but the Democratic party and the left has been taken over by radicals who have no interest in due process. They are like Negroponte. They only want their truth to prevail. They don’t want any dissent. They don’t want any argument.

It’s happening on university campuses. And when you have professors like Negroponte giving the students the lesson it’s okay not to engage, not to talk to people that you disagree with, it’s a terrible reflection of what is going on in the United States of America.

So put aside Martha’s Vineyard, put aside clam bakes and cocktail parties and put aside what ‘Morning Joe’ was saying. By the way, I challenge ‘Morning Joe’ to have me on the show when he mocks me so that I can respond. It’s easy and kind of unfair to attack somebody and then not give them the opportunity to respond. Let’s see if he has the guts to put me on the show so I can tell his viewers the truth.

Here’s Dershowitz on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson show:

Speaking of MSNBC, here’s the segment where the leftists on MSNBC’s Morning Joe were mocking Dershowitz.

Trump 2020 Campaign Fires McGhan’s Law Firm

Turnover is nothing new for the Trump White House.

One of the key players identified in the pages of the Mueller report is Don McGhan, former counsel to the President. McGhan’s name hasn’t previously been this far into the forefront, but a revelation from within Robert Mueller’s inconclusive dissertation regarding possible obstruction of justice by the President has made him nearly a household name. McGhan’s infamy arises from a passage in the report detailing his reaction to a question by President Trump regarding possible conflicts of interest that Robert Mueller and his team may have had. After McGhan’s insubordination became public knowledge with the release of Mueller’s epic tome, President Trump’s 2020 campaign team have decided to no longer retain legal services from his firm. The Trump campaign has hired its own in-house attorney for its 2020 reelection bid — shifting future business away from Jones Day, the law firm, that has represented Trump since his first run for president. Campaign officials and advisers cast the decision to hire Nathan Groth — a former lawyer for the Republican National Committee and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker — as a money-saving move, supported by the businessman-turned-president who loves to cut costs. Here’s the kicker… But close Trump advisers say the decision also stems from disappointment with the White House’s former top attorney and current Jones Day partner, Don McGahn, whose behavior has irked the president and some of his family members. This certainly won’t surprise many within Trump’s inner circle, as his administration has been rife with turnover during the 2+ years since the President was inaugurated.

Trump Channels HBO Blockbuster to Troll Democrats After Mueller Report’s Release

The President’s tweet carried with it a lot of bravado…but was it premature?

The Mueller report has arrived, all 400+ pages of it, and the media at large is attempting to scour through it as quickly as possible at this early hour. Pundits are sitting around their special, “big news” sets, laptops ablaze like a well-lit Stonehenge, as these entertainers of “the news” attempt to breathlessly interpret the report in their own partisan language before the President and his lawyers speak on the subject. Trump, however, is a master media manipulator who will invariably get his point across, with or without the television media’s help. Such is that case today as the President piggybacked on the hype surrounding HBO’s Game of Thrones to bolster his base’s belief in him. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1118876219381026818 Critics of the President have been quick to point out that Mueller’s report specifically states that Congress is still able to work on the ten instances of “obstruction of justice” that the Special Counsel investigated, despite the President attempting to call “game over”. Attorney General Bill Barr said something quite different in a statement this morning. As for obstruction, Barr said that the report recounts 10 episodes involving Trump and “discusses potential legal theories for connecting these actions to elements of an obstruction offense.” But he said the White House “fully cooperated” with the investigation, and that he concluded that the evidence is not sufficient to establish an obstruction-of-justice offense by Trump. Regardless of whether you believe that President Trump is “exonerated” through this Mueller report, it would be foolish in any case to believe that this is “game over”…especially now that the democrats have a hold of this massive trove of information.
