DeSantis Takes Aim at Immigration Crisis by Refusing State Licensing for Certain Businesses

BOOM!

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is very much on a path to making the Sunshine State the next Texas, at least in terms of acting independently and defiantly on a national level.

DeSantis’ turn toward singularity began with his response to the state’s coronavirus crisis, with the lawmaker roundly rejecting federal and local vaccine and mask mandates en masse, making it illegal for businesses and establishments in Florida to enact either.

Then came the news that he’d be creating a Florida State Guard of sorts, and using that paramilitary force to protect interests that the national-level troops he would normally call upon may not be inclined to help with as Florida continued to turn independent.

And now, on top of all this, DeSantis is further taking aim at the lackluster results of the Biden administration by taking the immigration crisis into his own hands.

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis will take a major step on Friday morning to stop the influx of illegal aliens claiming to be unaccompanied children into his state thanks to Democrat President Joe Biden’s secret nighttime flights, Breitbart News has learned exclusively from the governor’s team.

DeSantis’s administration, through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), will issue what is called an “emergency order” blocking the issuance or renewal of state licenses to DCF facilities throughout the state of Florida if any of those facilities are currently housing illegal migrant children — or illegal migrants claiming to be children — that the Biden administration flew into Florida.

A spokesperson explained:

“The mission of the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is to protect the health, safety, and well-being of Floridians, especially children,” DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw told Breitbart News on Thursday evening. “To this end, DCF licenses facilities that house children whose families are unable to care for them. As a state agency, DCF serves the people of Florida. Diverting resources away from kids in need in Florida, to illegal aliens being smuggled here by the Biden Administration for clandestine resettlement, does not serve the people of our state. Under the new emergency rule, the federal government’s resettlement of illegal aliens (unaccompanied minors) from outside Florida does not constitute ‘evidence of need’ as required for issuance or renewal of a state license for a child-care facility. Therefore, no licenses shall be issued or renewed with respect to any child-care agency that provides services to illegal aliens transported to Florida from outside our state.”

DeSantis has been rapidly raising his national profile in recent months, with many suggesting that this has to do with his potential plans to run for President in 2024…something that the Sunshine State Governor has not confirmed.

Dems Now Suggesting That Merrick Garland will Prosecute Donald Trump

With the nation having now broken the violence barrier, as it pertains to our politics, such speculation is downright irresponsible.

As the January 6th committee continues down a blatantly partisan path that is unlikely to bring the country together in any meaningful way, there are fears that their actions could spark a great deal of animosity within this powder keg of a nation.

We are as divided as we ever have been, or at least in the last 150 years, and every political motion must be true and just.  Otherwise, we can consider it fuel for whatever trouble appears to be looming just over the horizon.

The January 6th committee and the Democrats supporting it, being under the microscope as they are, must be particularly careful not to deal in rumors, hyperbole, or propaganda.  They have at least one hand firmly on the rudder of this nation for the time being, and any hard, jerking motions could send us all figuratively to the floor.

That’s why the latest speculation regarding their investigation is so mindlessly dangerous.

Senate Democrats believe there is a good chance the Department of Justice will prosecute former President Trump for trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election and inciting the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, which would have major political reverberations ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Democratic lawmakers say they don’t have any inside information on what might happen and describe Attorney General Merrick Garland as someone who would make sure to run any investigation strictly “by the book.”

The narrative was even bolder than that:

Sen. Richard  Blumenthal (D-Conn.) said “clearly what [Trump] did” in the days leading up and the day of the Jan. 6 attack on Congress “falls in the ambit of what’s being investigated and perhaps is criminal.”

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) said it’s up to the prosecutors at the Justice Department whether to charge Trump, though he believes that the former president’s actions on and before Jan. 6 likely violate federal law.

“They have all of the evidence at their disposal,” he said.

Kaine believes federal prosecutors are looking seriously at charges against Trump, although he doesn’t have any inside information about what they may be working on.

“My intuition is that they are” looking carefully at whether Trump broke the law, he said. “My sense is they’re looking [at] everything in a diligent way and they haven’t made a decision.”

“I believe there are federal statutes that are very much implicated” by Trump’s efforts to overturn President Biden’s victory in the 2020 election, Kaine added.

UFC Chief Laments Lack of Available Monoclonal COVID Treatments

This, just days after Florida accused the federal government of hoarding the life-saving treatments.

If you were to ask the government about the options that we have for defeating the coronavirus pandemic, you are likely to hear but one side of the story:  Vaccines.

The Biden administration has been unwavering in their support of these inoculations, even going so far as to attempt to install a constitutionally unsound vaccine mandate that took only two months for the Supreme Court to gut.

But there are other options too, induing the widely popular and effective monoclonal antibody treatments.  And, despite the government’s insistence on pushing vaccines on the masses, the Biden administration has also appeared to corner the market on these life-saving medicines…and they’re being awfully stingy with them.

“I bet I could get some f*****g pain pills quicker than I could get monoclonal antibodies,” UFC President Dana White said in regards to the rationing of monoclonal antibodies for treatment of COVID-19 during a press conference on Saturday following the UFC 45 Vegas in Las Vegas, NV.

MMA Weekly asked White about a left-wing censorship campaign targeting Joe Rogan under the auspices of “misinformation” involving an “open letter” from assorted medical professionals and academic calling on Spotify, the distributor or Rogan’s eponymous podcast, to “take action” against what they described as “mass-misinformation” which is “medically and culturally dangerous.”

The exchange was lively to say the least.

MMA Weekly asked, “I was wondering what your thoughts were with the 200-plus doctors trying to put pressure on Spotify saying that Joe’s a menace.”

White replied, “Are they really? Well how about this, ever since I came out and said what I did, It’s almost impossible now to get monoclonal antibodies. They’re making it so you can’t get them — medicine that absolutely works, they’re keeping from us. I don’t want to get too political and start getting into all this s***, but ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies have been around for a long time. Now, all of a sudden, you can’t dig them up to save your life. The doctors won’t give them to you.”

The criticism arrives amid a flurry of complaints from Florida officials, complaining that the Biden administration simply will not ship these treatments to them, and without providing any reason as to why.
