DNC Co-Chair Slapped With Major Allegations Just Days Before Critical Primary Election
Deputy Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Rep. Keith Ellison has just been slapped with major allegations of physical and emotional abuse by his former girlfriend and prominent environmental activist Karen Monahan. The allegations come mere days before a very critical primary election is due to take place.
Couldn’t be worse timing for the guy, right? Guess that’s what happens when you’re a crooked politician who thinks they’re untouchable.
In a Facebook post Saturday, Austin Aslim Monahan, son of Sierra Club activist Karen Monahan, claimed Ellison was physically and emotionally abusive while in a relationship with his mother.

“The messages I found, were mixed with him consistently telling my mom he wanted her back, he missed her, he knew he f***ed up and we wished he could do things different, he would victim shaming, bully her, and threaten her if she went public. I text him and told him I know what you did to my mama and a few other things,” he explained.
Austin said he and his brother confronted their mother, who had never mentioned the abuse, but she urged them to not go public with the allegations, claiming it was not in her best interest.
What my son said is true. Every statement he made was true.@keithellison, you know you did that to me. I have given every opportunity to get help and heal. Even now, u r willing to say my son is lying and have me continue to leak more text and info just so others will believe him

As is to be expected, Ellison is denying the allegations, issuing a brief statement saying, “This video does not exist because I never behaved in this way, and any characterization otherwise is false.”
He also went on to say that he deeply cares for Monahan’s well-being, despite their relationship having ended in 2016.
Who knows whether or not Ellison is telling the truth, but it certainly doesn’t look good for him. It’s kind of hard for a Democrat to discuss being an advocate for women when they physically and verbally abuse one, right?
You know, the whole imaginary “war on women” that we used to hear so much about. Funny how those voices have all gone silent now.
