Donald Trump Give Swamp-Draining Preview of 2nd Term
In the coming weeks, it is more likely than not that we’ll be hearing from Donald Trump about his plans for 2024.
While no official word has yet to arrive as to whether or not the former President will be trying to once again take up residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, there have been plenty of hints so far. The only thing holding him back thus far has been a concern about possibly effecting the 2022 midterms by giving the Democrats a new target to harass.
This week, the speculation ramped up yet again, as Trump gave the nation a preview of what a second term for him might look like for the Washington DC swamp.
Former President Donald Trump, at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit, will speak about his schedule F executive order, which would allow him to “drain the swamp” by firing the swamp, according to Trump’s prepared remarks provided in advance of his speech to Breitbart News.
“To drain the swamp, we need to fire the swamp. With schedule F, I took executive action to make it possible to fire federal employees who are bypassing our democracy to advance wokeism and corruption,” Trump plans to say.
And then…
“We now need Congress to institute historic reforms to permanently empower the President to root out the Deep State, and ensure that any bureaucrat who is corrupt, incompetent, or unnecessary can be told, ‘You’re fired,’” the former President will assert.
Polling for Trump’s 2024 run has been mixed of late, with some Republicans and media outlets seemingly more interested in helping Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ascend to the national stage instead.
