Donald Trump Held in Contempt by New York Judge
Donald Trump’s departure from the White House was a dramatic one for a great many reasons, not least of which being how it opened the flood gates of legal action against the former Commander in Chief. It certainly seemed as though everybody with a gripe against Trump came out of the woodwork to target him over the course of the last year and a half, and a number of these legal challenges are growing serious.
The latest affront to the former President comes to us from New York, where a judge has held Trump in contempt, fining him $10,000 per day until he comes into compliance.
A New York judge on Monday held former President Donald Trump in contempt, and fined him $10,000 per day, for failing to comply with a subpoena requiring he turn over documents to investigators conducting a sprawling financial fraud probe for New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The Trump team wasn’t taking the move lying down.
Trump attorney Alina Habba said after the hearing that they plan to appeal.
“We respectfully disagree with the court’s decision today. All of the documents, as I explained, responsive to the subpoena, were already produced to the attorney general month’s ago,” Habba said.
Donald Trump has declared that he is not in possession of the requested documents, which makes the enforcement of this contempt charge and fine all the more complicated.
