Dozens Of Cops Quit The Force As Seattle Council ‘Defunds Police’

Published

on

The Seattle City Council voted on Monday to cut the Seattle Police Department’s budget, as many cops leave the force as a result of all the hostilities pointed at them from local leadership.

The city council held a vote to defund the police, which was passed 8-1. This measure will slash the budget by 18 percent. Granted, radical activists wanted to see the budget cut by 50 percent, but this is still a devastating number.

via Daily Wire:

Such a move will leave many vacant jobs on the force unfilled and require 911 dispatchers and parking enforcement to be moved outside of SPD jurisdiction. As of Oct. 31, 134 officers have left the force, according to the mayor’s office. In October alone, 23 have thrown in the towel.

Democratic Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan expressed her support for the budget, saying in a statement, “I applaud the City Council for taking a more deliberate and measured approach to the 2021 Seattle Police Department budget than occurred this summer which led to the resignation of former SPD Chief Carmen Best.”

Nikkita Oliver, a radical Black Lives Matter activist who played a leadership role in city’s short-lived Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (or CHAZ) last summer, said during a virtual meeting after the vote:

These are all really exciting things that have been won after many, many years of mobilizing and partnering together. They’ve been won because of the uprising and defense of Black lives, and the many people who put their feet to the ground, who have made calls, sent emails, and organized their communities.

The president of the Seattle Police Officers Guild, Mike Solan, wasn’t quite as excited about the vote, referring to the council as “naive” and warned that the response to calls coming in to 911 would take longer to respond to.

“You’re going to see crime rise, we’re already seeing increased homicide rates that we haven’t seen in decades,” Solan stated.

Can you really blame cops for leaving? They clearly know they aren’t appreciated and are hated by large segments of the population. Cops in Seattle also know that if something goes sideways, they won’t be able to count on city officials to have their back.

What’s ironic is that minority neighborhoods are the ones going to be hurt the most by the lack of police presence on the streets.

One ‘Armed Person’ Arrested During J6 Rally… Turns Out to be Undercover Cop

Police in riot gear surrounded and detained a man who was armed at the J6 rally on Saturday.

Police in riot gear surrounded and detained a man who was armed at the J6 rally on Saturday, but putting a fine point on the face, it turned out he was an undercover cop.

There were only a few arrests during the J6 rally. Indeed, there were thousands of police — both in riot gear and undercover — not to mention thousands of reporters, but very few “dangerous” J^ rally goers.

Not many turned out for the rally because most knew that the corrupt law enforcement services in Washington D.C. was looking to take down anyone, for anything, real or fictional. Few real J6 supporters wanted to be mistreated by a corrupt militarized police presence, so the stayed home.

In fact, President Trump even warned people not to go to this thing. Trump called the whole event a “set up.”

“On Saturday, that’s a setup,” Trump said. “If people don’t show up they’ll say, ‘Oh, it’s a lack of spirit.’ And if people do show up they’ll be harassed.”

And he was exactly right. To show what a farcical situation the whole thing was, cops in riot gear surrounded and detained a man because he looked to be armed. And “journalists” were there to lap it all up.

Reporter Ford Fischer recorded the confrontation on video:

But then it was discovered that this doofus was an undercover operative, and the riot cops blew his cover:

What a complete joke:

Major League Baseball Moves Bat Production to Red China

Major League Baseball has fired its U.S.-based bat makers and sent the contract to the Chinese.

Major League Baseball is no longer America’s game. Apparently, it’s China’s, now that the league has fired its U.S.-based bat makers and sent the contract to the Chinese.

Bats for MLB have been made in America for the entirety of baseball’s existence… until today.

According to Yahoo News:

When Major League Baseball hosted its “Field of Dreams” game in Iowa in August, it was a celebration of small-town America. But less than 100 miles away, a small town is worrying that its local economy, that’s centered around baseball, is getting shut out. Kris Van Cleave traveled to Caledonia, Minnesota, where a factory partially owned by MLB is closing up shop and shipping jobs overseas.

So much for the “American pastime.” So much for the one game America is most famous for.

But this is where all pro sports are headed.

Soon all the Little Leaguers will be proudly swinging those bats that are stamped “Made In China.”

What an outrage.
