Elon Takes Twitter Fight to Apple After App Store Threat
As the Elon Musk era of Twitter continues to evolve, marching steadily toward the eccentric billionaire’s previously-stated goals of reinstating the platform’s former commitment to free speech, there has been a great deal of opposition coming his way.
Musk has been continually cast as some sort of problem for the Silicon Valley establishment, which has made him ever-more popular with the average American. Combine that with his penchant for online equality, and it becomes clear to see that the liberal elites within the emerging technology industries are fearful of what he may bring to the table.
As if to reinforce the existence of this abject terror, Apple is now threatening to pull Twitter from its App Store – a move that has musk ready to declare “war” on the tech giant.
Twitter owner Elon Musk claimed on Monday in a series of tweets that Applehad threatened to remove the Twitter app from the App Store as part of its app review moderation process.
“Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why,” Musk tweeted.
Musk has been aware of and angry about the situation all day.
In other tweets fired off on Monday morning, he called Apple’s App Store fees a “secret 30% tax,” and ran a poll asking if “Apple should publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers.” He also claimed that Apple has pulled most of its advertising from Twitter.

Of course, if a technology company is concerned about the realities of “free speech”, we have to ask ourselves if they are still relevant in modern society?
