Facebook Removes Elizabeth Warren’s Anti-Facebook Ads

Warren and her supporters were, of course, outraged.

Facebook has taken criticism for deleting some anti-Facebook posts that Senator Elizabeth Warren posted. This is what happens when a corporation is in charge of free speech, folks.

I am no supporter of the socialist fake Indian from Massachusetts, granted,  but come on, Facebook. Isn’t it just a bit precious that Facebook deleted the posts that criticize Facebook posted by a sitting U.S. Senator?

On Monday, Facebook admitted that it deleted several ads that Warren’s presidential campaign posted calling for a breakup of several tech giants including Facebook.

You may not agree with Warren’s idea to break up Facebook, but she is an elected official who is embarking on an official campaign for president and she advanced a serious political idea that many people support, even it it is a bad one.

The ads directed Warren supporters to a petition on Warren’s campaign website extolling a policy of supporting “our plan to break up these big tech companies.”

As Politico reported last night:

The ads, which had identical images and text, touted Warren’s recently announced plan to unwind “anti-competitive” tech mergers, including Facebook’s acquisition of WhatsApp and Instagram.

“Three companies have vast power over our economy and our democracy. Facebook, Amazon, and Google,” read the ads, which Warren’s campaign had placed Friday. “We all use them. But in their rise to power, they’ve bulldozed competition, used our private information for profit, and tilted the playing field in their favor.”

Facebook claimed that “This ad was taken down because it goes against Facebook’s advertising policies.”

The social media giant later said that the ads violated their “use of corporate logos” rule.

After the outrage was kicked up, though, Facebook reversed course and said it intended to restore the ads.

Folks, this really is pretty outrageous. We are in an era where our chief modes of communication is the Internet and social media, but if these tech giants can shut down even legitimate political discourse because they don’t feel it serves their financial (or ideological) interests, then we have entered an era where the First Amendment really is moot.

It used to be that only government could effectively quash free speech. However, we are in a different age, one that breaks the mold of the past.

It is hard for a free trade conservative to figure this one, granted. On one hand, a common feeling would be that Facebook is a private company that can do whatever it wants to do. However, with the stranglehold Facebook, Google, Twitter and Instagram have on public discourse, something has to be done to prevent them from shutting down political discourse.

After all, free political speech was exactly the sort of speech that the founding fathers wanted to insure. It is a founding principle and a chief Constitutional right.

Bill Clinton Secretly Met With Jeffrey Epstein Madam Ghislaine Maxwell In 2014 — Details

Curiouser and curiouser…

John Salvatore

Had Jeffrey Epstein not been killed committed suicide, there’s a decent chance he would’ve spilled some shocking information on Bill Clinton and other high-profile, big-name celebrities, in exchange for a lighter sentence. The world will never see that happen. However, more and more information continues to leak about the former president’s relationship to the convicted pedophile and his madam. From The Daily Wire: Former Democrat President Bill Clinton reportedly had an “intimate dinner” with accused child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell in 2014, years after she had been accused of procuring minors for alleged child sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein. The dinner happened at Crossroads Kitchen, a high-end vegan restaurant in Los Angeles, according to a report from The Daily Beast, which noted that several other high profile individuals were there after being invited. VIDEO: The craziest things seem to happen to people with dirt on Bill and Hillary, don’t they? On the night Slick Willy spoke at the 2020 Democrat National Convention, photos were released showing him getting massaged from an Epstein victim. And by victim, most likely sex slave. From Daily Mail: Bill Clinton grins with pleasure as he enjoys an intimate neck massage with a young Jeffrey Epstein victim in never-before-seen photographs obtained exclusively by […] Clinton traveled numerous times on the dead pedophile’s private Jet, the Lolita Express, socialized with his alleged Madame, Ghislaine Maxwell, and faced a slew of sexual misconduct accusations himself during his years in public life. ESPN Host: ‘Right-Wing Extremists’ Are the Ones Responsible for Violent Riots We’ve Seen

LOL, this guy…

John Salvatore

ESPN’s First Take morning show features two outspoken liberal hosts, Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith. Neither man is afraid of talking politics on their sports show, despite Americans constantly telling people to leave politics out of sports. If you’re a boxing fan, you know who Kellerman is. The guy is very knowledgable and knows the sport inside and out. Unfortunately, Max often times lashes out and shows the nation just how clueless he is when it comes to politics. On Tuesday, Max decided to go after right-wingers with a claim so ridiculous that you can’t really do much but laugh. WATCH: You either love or hate Skip Bayless, if you listen to sports talk radio. He’s a character, to be certain. That being said, the former ESPN personality and current Fox Sports talking head has been around all things sports for decades. He knows people. He has connections. According to Skip, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who openly supported Hillary Clinton in 2016 and has been wildly critical of President Trump since he first took office, is considering running for president of the United States “some day.” You’d have to imagine based on popularity and his name alone, LeBron would snag quite a few votes – similarly to Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger when he ran for governor in blue California.
