'Fake News' Crusaders Caught Red Handed CREATING Russian Bots to BLACKLIST Conservatives

What a time to be alive, folks.

I mean that with every ounce of sincerity and sarcasm that you could possibly imbue from that sentence.  We are living in a world that is evolving so rapidly before our very eyes that we may just lose sight of exactly what it means to be truthful.

Let’s not take that lightly.  Truth, the pursuit of it, and the dissemination of it, are the key principles to forming the basis of our very morality.  Without morality, we cannot have a society – or even a civilization.  Our entire history as a species, from the moment we woke up and began this adventure, was to seek the truth.

Now, thanks to layers of nuance, opinion, bias, greed, and hate, we have to dig for the truth.

Everyday, I wake up to stare into the abyss of this truth-seeking.  I can choose one topic for the day, let’s say its the border wall, and I can read about it on three different “news” websites.  What I glean from those three sites is a similar difference of realities to that of a gaggle of young children when you ask them who broke the window?

In short, the mainstream media, (which is funded by the same advertisers who can fund politicians through Citizens United), is playing a game of selective truth.  CNN tells us one thing.  Fox News, another.  Somewhere in the middle might be reality.

In the latest battle over the truth, (and how we find it), those in the media have ramped up their inexcusable bias to the umpteenth degree.  Spawned by their pure hatred for Donald Trump, this corporately controlled informational monopoly needed a plan to neuter his executive power during the 2018 midterms.

That plan?  Convince the American people that conservative leaning news and opinion sites were being weaponized by Russian “bots” in order to influence the coming election.  This was the narrative that spawned the “fake news” cavalcade on the left, as well as the sudden and abrupt glut of fly by night “fact checking” companies whose sole purpose was to tag conservative content creators with a Scarlet Letter, or a “demerit”, or a Red X…or whatever their imaginary rating system called for.

[Author’s note:  In the lead up to the 2018 midterms, I was bombarded with emails from these sort of companies, nitpicking the most asinine of metaphorical concerns about my writing.  Since the elections have ended, I have received not one inquiry.  That should tell us all about the motives behind this nonsense.]

Now, in an inexcusable and traitorous revelation, we have discovered that one of the main proponents of the “Russian bot” story was simply making it all up.  And, yes, these are the same folks that had several of my colleagues blacklisted for being “Russian bots”, thus effecting their ability to put food on the table.

Operatives with New Knowledge, a group affiliated with [Former President Barack Obama campaign organizer Mikey] Dickerson, created thousands of Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots to boost the election-year chances of Jones — the accounts began following Moore’s Twitter account in October 2017. The project created a slew of Facebook accounts as well that were designed to troll conservatives into opposing Moore.

But the misinformation project attracted attention from local and national media, falsely suggesting Russia was backing Moore’s candidacy. The Montgomery Advertiser, for one, was the first to cover the story using the Russian-bot angle. National media outlets quickly followed suit. (REPORT: Facebook Dings Dem Operatives Who Pulled A Fast One During Alabama Election)

“Roy Moore flooded with fake Russian Twitter followers,” read the headline on a New York Post story, which cited the Advertiser. WaPo focused its reporting on the fact that Moore blamed Democrats for the fake accounts. Other major national outlets picked up on the story shortly thereafter, with many pundits mocking Moore for blaming Democratic operatives.

The cost of the effort, which was funded by liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman, totaled $100,000 — the identical amount Facebook says the Russian Internet Research Agency spent trolling people on social media leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Dickerson, who has not responded to TheDCNF’s repeated requests for comment about the campaign, finally responded to reporters Monday.

This sort of “Red Scare” nonsense should have no place in American politics, but, yet…here it is, with Barack Obama’s name attached to it.

Worse still, the New Knowledge model directly affected the livelihoods of American political writers, cartoonists, satirists, and content creators at the behest of an Obama crony with no interest in finding the truth.  Rather, Dickerson and his posse of progressive meddlers were looking only for power, success, and the obliteration of the First Amendment.

This subversion of our right to free speech, through means of such a dastardly disinformation campaign must not go unpunished.  Otherwise, we have forfeited our First Amendment rights.
