Famous Dem Strategist Blames 'Stupid Wokeness' for Virginia Election Results

Despite the continued insistence of “the squad” and other radical liberals, it appears as though the leftward lurch of the Democratic Party is about to be on the chopping block.

This, after a stunning defeat in the Virginia gubernatorial race in which first-time candidate and Republican Gary Youngkin defeated former Governor Terry McAuliffe, in a showing that absolutely obliterated pollsters’ beliefs.

Famed Democratic strategist James Carville believes that he may know what went wrong in the commonwealth, and he laid it all out on PBS’ News Hour this week.

“[W]hat went wrong is just stupid wokeness,” he declared. “Don’t just look at Virginia and New Jersey. Look at Long Island, look at Buffalo, look at Minneapolis, even look at Seattle, Wash. I mean, this ‘defund the police’ lunacy, this take Abraham Lincoln’s name off of schools. I mean that — people see that.”

“It’s just really — has a suppressive effect all across the country on Democrats. Some of these people need to go to a ‘woke’ detox center or something,” Carville continued. “They’re expressing a language that people just don’t use, and there’s backlash and a frustration at that.”

Carville is no stranger to blasting the left’s “woke” agenda, and has been railing against the Democrats’ slide into radical liberalism for years now, particularly in cases such as this where it directly affects their ability to be elected.
