FLASHBACK: AOC Has ‘No Problem’ Admitting Green New Deal Is ‘Massive Gov’t Takeover’

Will anyone in the Bronx or Queens admit they actually voted for her?

Politicians on both sides of the aisle are often caught spouting falsehoods.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is by far and away one of the worst and it’s kind of not even close.

Let’s go back to a time, not long ago, when AOC admitted that her far-left “Green New Deal” was a “massive government takeover.”

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) lied about her “Green New Deal” on Thursday, saying that it is not a “massive government takeover” hours after admitting the exact opposite.

AOC: “One way that the Right does try to mischaracterize what we’re doing as though it’s like some kind of massive government takeover. Uh, obviously what we’re trying to do is, well obviously it’s not that because what we’re trying to do is release the investments from the federal government to mobilize those resources across the country.

The funny thing is that Ocasio-Cortez said the exact opposite earlier in the day.

Host Steve Inskeep: “As you know, congresswoman, one reason that people who are politically conservative are skeptical of efforts to combat climate change is that it sounds to them like it requires massive government intervention which they just don’t like. Are you prepared to put on the table that yes, they’re actually right, what this requires is massive government intervention?

AOC: “It does. It does. Yeah, I have no problem saying that.

WATCH:

So, which is it, Alexandria?

For some reason, spending countless trillions on liberal policies until the end of time is no problem whatsoever but $5 billion for the border wall is preposterous.

The Democrat Socialist’s proposed Green New Deal proposal would cost tens of trillions of dollars, and apparently has the support of over 40 Democrats in Congress.

From Daily Caller:

Democrats are increasingly lining up to support a “Green New Deal,” which, while vague on details, could end up being the largest expansion of government in decades.

[…]

Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” calls for creating a House committee to draft legislation to fight global warming and turn the U.S. economy into something akin to what Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders envisions. Indeed, the “Green New Deal” could be a preview of what policies the Democratic Party will back in the 2020 elections.

[…]

Those goals include moving the U.S. to 100 percent green energy, federal job guarantees for workings forced out of their fossil fuel jobs, guaranteed minimum income and universal health care.

The New York representative wants Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “scrapped.”

You know, because America shouldn’t have the right to keep out people who shouldn’t be here, or something.

Liberal logic.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Sunday night in a social media post that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency should be “scrapped” altogether.

The Congresswoman knows very little of which she speaks.

State Police Force Faces Mass Resignations Over Vaccine Mandate

That can’t be good…

Published

Americans these days appear to be more concerned than ever with their bodily sovereignty, and this could create an enormous shift in the way that some folks choose their careers.

In particular, the increase in vaccine mandates among certain professions has driven a number of American workers to seek new employment, including a number of healthcare workers in New York State.  In fact, the exodus in NYC could be so significant that the National Guard and foreign doctors may need to be brought in to fill the gap.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Massachusetts, it’s the police force that could soon be gutted.

The State Police Association of Massachusetts (SPAM) said dozens of troopers have submitted their resignation papers as a result of the state’s COVID vaccine mandate.

The state is requiring all executive department employees to show proof of vaccination by October 17, or risk losing their jobs.

The Union released a statement in which they suggested that these officers would seek employment in places with “reasonable” practices instead.

To date, dozens of troopers have already submitted their resignation paperwork, some of whom plan to return to other departments offering reasonable alternatives such as mask wearing and regular testing.  The State Police are already critically short staffed and acknowledged this by the unprecedented moves which took troopers from specialty units that investigate homicides, terrorism, computer crimes, arsons, gangs, narcotics, and human trafficking, and returned them to uniformed patrol.

The debate over vaccine mandates has been a heated one here in the United States, and with the federal government now solidly pushing for more of these regulations to go into place, there is no end in sight for the argument.

Chris Cuomo’s Groping Victim Eviscerates His Response to the Accusations

The creepy Cuomos are at it again.

Chris Cuomo

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is in a predicament that may feel familiar to his family this week, and his response to the issue is getting exactly the sort of eye-rolling write-off that his brother Andrew grew accustomed to during his final days as the disgraced Governor of New York.

Cuomo the newsman, like his lawmaker sibling, stands accused of an aggressive act of sexual harassment involving a woman with whom he worked.  And, also like Andrew, Chris’ response to the accusation is not going over well.

In a guest essay for the New York Times published Friday, former executive producer Shelley Ross wrote Cuomo squeezed the cheek of her buttock without her permission in 2005. She also produced an email where Cuomo appeared to admit to the incident and apologized for his behavior. Ross expected CNN’s most-watched host to have evolved since the incident occurred, but feels his response to her essay proves he’s “no more enlightened” today than he was at the time of the inappropriate touching.

“I was hoping that in 15, 16 years that he had changed, but he’s no more enlightened today than he was then, as demonstrated by his response,” Ross told Insider.

Here’s where the two differ:

“As Shelley acknowledges, our interaction was not sexual in nature. It happened 16 years ago in a public setting when she was a top executive at ABC. I apologized to her then, and I meant it,” Cuomo said.

However, Ross doesn’t seem satisfied with Cuomo’s statement.

“I don’t acknowledge that there’s anything that was ‘our interaction.’ I was not a participant,” Ross told Insider. “I was groped. And so to say that I acknowledge interaction, no. That shows a lack of enlightenment.”

Ross has publicly stated that she isn’t seeking to have Cuomo ousted from CNN over the incident, however.
