Always an excuse…

There are comedians and then there’s AOC. She’s a whole different kind of funny and she doesn’t even realize it. Facepalm.

From The Daily Wire:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed on Sunday that the surge in crime in New York City is happening because people are “scared to pay their rent” and because of high unemployment numbers due to the pandemic.

Ocasio-Cortez made the remarks and other misleading statements during a Zoom video call that was posted to Twitter by The Hill.

Protests around the nation are largely dominated by white liberals. They believe they are helping the black community combat racism by agreeing with the radical wing that law enforcement should be defunded.

It literally makes zero sense.

From The Daily Wire:

On Thursday, Ami Horowitz released a new video to YouTube in which he asks white and black New Yorkers if they “support abolishing the police.” Their answers are…quite different.

[…]

When asked about the relationship between the NYPD and members of the community, a man wearing a blue Nike hat claims that “it’s pretty good,” noting that “all police officers are not bad,” and that there are ones who “really care about the people and really want to help the people.”

Dems Plan ‘Total War’ If SCOTUS Nominee Confirmed, Will Look to Add States to the Union

Yep, that’s right. They want to add more states!

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) made clear on Monday that Republicans absolutely have the votes to confirm President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, likely Barbara Lagoa or Amy Coney Barrett. And when that happens, Democrats will look to go to “war.” Here’s the deal, via The Daily Wire: “Furious” Democrats are considering “total war” next session if Republican press through and fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s vacant Supreme Court seat, Axios reports — and their plans may even include adding states to the union to ensure their permanent control of Congress. Some Democrats, like Senate Judiciary Committee member Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), have made clear that they believe no response is off the table if President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell follow through with plans to fill the seat with fewer than 50 days until the November presidential election. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) even noted Sunday that her caucus is considering pursuing impeachment, either a second round against Trump or a first attempt to oust Attorney General William Barr. […] According to Axios, Democrats are also considering two major changes to Congress itself that could work to keep them in control — and in the majority in both Houses — for years to come. “Adding Supreme Court justices … eliminating the Senate’s 60-vote threshold to end filibusters … and statehood for D.C. and Puerto Rico,” are all on the table, Axios says. There’s no two ways around it: Democrats are bad people. It’s really that simple. They crave power and control above all else, while managing to convince the uninformed that they are working in their best interests. SMH. Reports Indicate GOP Has the Votes to Confirm SCOTUS Nominee, Probably Amy Coney Barrett

Is the smart money on ACB?

If the name Amy Coney Barrett sounds familiar, it’s because she was nearly chosen by President Trump for the SCOTUS seat that eventually went to Brett Kavanaugh. If Barrett isn’t Trump’s nominee, there’s a decent chance it could be Barbara Lagoa. Either way, it will be a woman. However things shake out, it appears the GOP does have the votes to confirm a new member of the Supreme Court. This comes on the heels on Republican Senators Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK) saying they will side with Democrats. From Washington Examiner: Senate Republicans said Monday they are ready to vote on a Supreme Court nominee, despite the election-year timing and the objections of Democrats, and they appear to have the votes to do it. […] A Monday evening statement by Sen. Cory Gardner, a Colorado Republican, appears to give Republicans at least 50 votes in favor of moving and eventually confirming a nominee, with Vice President Mike Pence able to break a tie if needed. Barrett met with Trump and separately with White House Counsel Pat Cipollone on Monday, said people familiar with the discussions. She is a favorite of anti-abortion rights advocates, who are heavily lobbying the White House and Trump personally to nominate her. She’s preferred by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, according to people close to him. VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D2A24zALOE What say you? Is the money on ACB?
