Flashback: Biden Says ‘Politicians Can Take Away’ the First Amendment ‘If We Want’ To [Listen]

And he wants you to give him more power…

Democrats often attempt to use the Constitution as a Swiffer pad. Too often, actually. Back in 1974, former Vice President Joe Biden said something immensely wild about the First Amendment.

This is the problem with the left. They want to play GOD. They think they are above the law. They think the rules don’t apply to them and that the American public is stupid. The proof is in the pudding.

And when Democrats take complete power, the country goes to hell. We saw it for eight years under the rule of Barack Obama, especially when Dems controlled both chambers of Congress and gave us Obamacare.

Former Vice President Joe Biden told a journalist in 1974 that “cruddy politicians” like himself could “take away” the First Amendment if they wanted.

The current 2020 Democrat frontrunner made the comments to Washingtonian magazine while being interviewed for a profile published in June 1974. Biden, then only 31-years-old, came to regret the interview, as his penchant for gaffes and insensitive remarks—traits defining later portions of his career—heavily colored the piece. At the time, however, Biden appeared eager to discuss his life as the nation’s youngest senator.

BIDEN: “I am proud to be a politician. There is no other walk of life which can do more good for mankind than politics. It influences everything that happens to the American people.”

BIDEN: “And, whether you like it or not, young lady, us cruddy politicians can take away that First Amendment of yours if we want to.

While in New Hampshire, Joe was confronted by an anti-Trump woman.

He agrees with her that 45 is “illegitimate.”

From Mediaite:

Former Vice President and current Democratic presidential primary frontrunner Joe Biden said “I absolutely agree” with a woman who described herself as having a “very severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” and said that Trump “is an illegitimate president.”

WOMAN: “He is an illegitimate president in my mind. That’s it. I think all the talk about impeachment and what the Democrats should do, that’s fine, it’s theoretical at this point. Let them investigate, let them subpoena, let them go to the Supreme Court, he’s illegitimate. and my biggest fear is that he’s going to do it again with the help of Vlad, his best pal, and we’re going to be stuck for six more years of this guy. And that is terrifying. It’s terrifying.

BIDEN: “Would you be my vice presidential candidate? Folks, look, I absolutely agree.

The former VP can’t seem to escape his gaffe-prone ways, yet continues to remain in the public eye.

When it comes down to it and Joe goes head-to-head with President Trump in the 2020 general election, Biden stands an excellent chance of being a thrice failed candidate for POTUS.

Check out this recently unearthed clip of Biden sounding eerily similar to Trump when it comes to Mexico – and it’s not from that long ago.

LOOK:

A review of rhetoric from Joe Biden’s record on immigration. It included boasting about needing a 700 mile fence to stop “tons…tons…tons” of drugs from “corrupt Mexico” in 2006. Jailing employers who hire “illegals” and not allowing sanctuary cities.

Joe Scarborough Says Americans See Trump As ‘Either An Agent Of Russia’ Or A ‘Useful Idiot’

Published

on

Host of MSNBC’s “The Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough, said that he personally thinks that President Trump going on a visit to Russia might be disastrous for him, reinforcing the view that “a lot” of Americans hold, namely that Trump is some sort of Russian asset. Trump spoke with the media on Friday last week where he stated that he was considering attending Russia’s Victory Day, a holiday designed to celebrate the country’s 1945 victory over Nazi Germany. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have both attended the event during their time in office. Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: “I’m not saying Donald Trump should go to Russia. I think, though, at some point, the United States needs to recognize, in a very public way, the remarkable sacrifice the Russian people made in the defeat of Hitler, along with all of our other allies,” Scarborough said Monday on his show. “But I’m just wondering whether Donald Trump can actually be that president,” he continued. “Because of everything that’s preceded it. The fact that there are a lot of people in America who believe that Donald Trump is either an agent of Russia or at least a useful idiot.” “He is doing the very thing that Vladimir Putin would want a western leader to do more than anything else, and that is to undermine NATO. He could not be doing Putin’s bidding more effectively if he were an active agent of Vladimir Putin and the KGB,” the host said last year about the president. Although Trump said he was considering the trip to Russia, he also said that going might conflict with campaign season. “It’s a very big deal, celebrating the end of the war. I appreciate the invitation, it’s right in the middle of the political season,” said…

Ilhan Omar Bids ‘Good Riddance’ GOP Rep. Peter King; Calls Him ‘Islamophobe’

Published

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, who has become notorious over the last year for the many, many anti-Semitic statements she’s made about Jews and Israel, bid a very not fond farewell to GOP Rep. Peter King, who stated he would not be seeking re-election next November. King, who is 75-years-old, stated he would not be seeking a 15th term in Congress on Monday morning. Omar wasted no time in saying “good riddance.” Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: “Peter King is an Islamophobe who held McCarthyite hearings targeting American Muslims, said ‘there are too many mosques in this country’ and blamed Eric Garner for his own death at the hands of police,” the Minnesota freshman congresswoman tweeted. “Good riddance.” https://twitter.com/IlhanMN/status/1193925337379463169 As Omar referenced, King said that there “too many mosques in this country” in a 2007 interview with Politico. He then explained his statement saying, “I think there has been a lack of full cooperation from too many people in the Muslim community.” King later hit back at Politico’s framing of his remarks claiming, “The quote was taken entirely out of context by Politico. My position in this interview, as it has been for many years, is that too many mosques in this country do not cooperate with law enforcement. Unfortunately, Politico was incapable of making this distinction.” Not every Democrat shares Omar’s hatred for King. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer praised King, calling him “principled” and stated he would “miss him in Congress.” https://twitter.com/SenSchumer/status/1193873613746778114 King, in a statement released on Monday, said, “The prime reason for my decision was that after 28 years of spending 4 days a week in Washington, D.C., it is time to end the weekly commute and be home in Seaford.”
