Good ol’ Gavin!

*Originally published July 2020* Once again, the Golden State continues to lead the nation in crazy. Thanks to radically far-left Governor Gavin Newsom, 8,000 prisoners will be freed due to spikes in coronavirus – which most likely stem from increased testing and Black Lives Matter riots, where police officers are treated like animals.

Newsom has no problem banning singing in church, though.

From KPIX 5:

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) on Friday said it estimates 8,000 currently incarcerated persons could be eligible for release by end of August under release authority granted to the CDCR Secretary allowing alternative confinement or release in any case in which an emergency endangering the lives of incarcerated persons has occurred or is imminent.

The 8,000 inmates to be released are in addition to the state’s reduction of about 10,000 inmates since the start of the pandemic.

Jay Jordan, the executive director of Californians for Safety and Justice, noted: “We’re glad the Governor is taking action to release more people. This is absolutely critical for the health and safety of every Californian. Too many people are incarcerated for too long in facilities that spread poor health. Supporting the health and safety of all Californians means releasing people unnecessarily incarcerated and transforming our justice system.”

Regarding church, via Fox News:

Faith leaders are speaking out after California Gov. Gavin Newsom banned singing and chanting in houses of worship last week due to a surge in coronavirus cases following weeks of protests.

“Places of worship must, therefore, discontinue singing and chanting activities and limit indoor attendance to 25 percent of building capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees, whichever is lower,” the new guidelines read as state health officials recommend churches have members sing online from their homes.

So. Korea Repatriates Remains of U.S. Soldiers to Hawaii, Biden Admin Sends No Representatives

South Korea repatriated the remains of six U.S. soldiers who died fighting the Korean War, yet Biden sent no one to the ceremony.

The country of South Korea repatriated the remains of several U.S. soldiers who died fighting the Korean War, yet the Biden admin. sent no representatives at all to the ceremony.

In yet another Democrat slap in the face to our armed forces, Biden sent not one single representative to accept the gift of the remains of our brave soldiers when South Korea’s President, Moon Jae-in, and his wife, landed in Hawaii for the repatriation ceremony.

The South Korean dignitaries were met by a military honor guard when they arrived on the island of Oahu on Tuesday. But no member of the federal government was there to greet them.

The ceremony was properly solemn. Jae-In presented the remains of six U.S. soldiers whose remains were discovered recently after they had died decades ago in the 1950 to 1953 war. Jae-In also bestowed distinguished service medals posthumously to two Korean immigrant soldiers that day.

And, again, Biden sent no one.

Per Hawaii News Now:

South Korean President Moon Jae-In and First Lady Kim Jung-Sook were on Oahu Wednesday to honor fallen servicemembers.

They attended the first-ever joint repatriation ceremony at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in the afternoon.

There, the remains of 68 Republic of Korea soldiers and 6 U.S. service members who died during the Korean War were returned.

The ceremony was held to honor those fallen warriors 71 years since the start of the Korean War on June 25.

While Admiral John Christopher Aquilino was on hand, as he should have been, there should also have been at least someone from Biden’s regime.

This is just another example of how Democrats don’t care about our soldiers.

Not to mention this slap at South Korea’s president who made this personal gesture.

Didn’t liberals tell us Biden would be better for our allies?

NYC Restauranteurs Blast De Blasio’s Vax Mandates: ‘We’re Being Assaulted’

The trouble continues for Big Apple eateries.

Just days ago, a wild and unruly bit of viral video made headlines, and reignited a national debate about the possibility of vaccine mandates throughout our great nation.

So far, the only real federal vaccine mandate has come in the form of an order from the Biden administration, declaring that all federal employees would be required to receive an inoculation against COVID-19, as well as employees of any private company with more than 100 workers.

But there are plenty of local and private ordinances that do require vaccination, including a controversial proclamation in New York City that requires vaccines for all restaurant customers.  The aforementioned viral video depicted a group of Texan tourists physically assaulting a restaurant hostess that asked for their proof of vaccination in order to dine in their establishment.

This shocking incident has New York City’s restauranteurs crying foul.

“It’s gonna hurt my business for me to lose customers, to lose relationships with customers. We’re a neighborhood restaurant,” restaurant owner Massimo Felici said, according to NY1. According to the outlet, Felici said the mandate, barring unvaccinated people from dining indoors, has had a negative impact on his business.

“They’re making us police this. We are getting the ripple effect. We’re getting assaulted for it, accused for it whatever you wanna call it. That’s it. Period. It shouldn’t be us,” he added, noting the rules remain unclear to most, as unvaccinated individuals can still dine outdoors.

“You’d be surprised how many people are confused about what’s allowed and what’s not allowed. If you read that, it makes it sound like you cannot come into my restaurant for dinner if you do not have the vaccination,” he said of the city’s signs.

Other establishment owners lamented the reality of the mandates being bad for business, especially as restaurants continue to struggle to reach pre-pandemic prosperity.
