Flashback: Omar Mocks Conservative Christians From Floor of House of Representatives

Video of the year? Possibly.

Different day, same Ilhan Omar. The Minnesota Democrat can’t seem to stop putting her foot in her mouth, seemingly in an attempt to keep up with fellow freshman lawmakers Rashida Tlaib (MI) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY).

Check out her speech from the House floor where she attacks conservative Christians for being pro-life. From Daily Wire:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) attacked conservative people on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday over their advocacy for pro-life stances on abortion.

Ilhan said, “I rise today to defy the horrifying attacks happening against women’s reproductive rights all across this country. Religious fundamentalists are currently trying to manipulate state laws in order to impose their beliefs on an entire society, all with complete disregard for voices and the rights of American women.

She added, “I am frustrated every single time I hear people speaking about their faith and pushing that on to other people because we know those so-called religious politicians, when it comes to their life, their choices, they want to talk about freedom. But when it comes to other people’s lives and other people’s choices, they want to talk about religion. This should outrage every single person. It certainly outrages me and we can no longer stand for it.

WATCH:

Congressional Dems are taking a stand against Ilhan.

From From Beacon:

The reelection campaign for Rep. Lucy McBath (D., Ga.) said Wednesday it rejected a $2,000 contribution sent to it by her fellow Democratic freshman congresswoman Ilhan Omar (Minn.), who has been criticized by colleagues on both sides of the aisle for anti-Semitism.

The Free Beacon first reported the $2,000 contribution given by Omar to McBath, whose campaign oddly left the contribution off its quarterly fundraising report. Pressed on the reason for its absence on Tuesday, the McBath campaign said only, “Our report is accurate,” and declined to provide further details.

McBath’s campaign admitted on Wednesday, however, that the lack of disclosure was due to a decision to reject the money from Omar, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Omar said “some people did something” on 9/11 and the mainstream media hardly batted an eye. Of course, conservatives took notice and called her out.

Ocasio-Cortez predictably came to Omar’s defense and did so by mocking Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw (TX), war hero.

Omar noted, “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.

WATCH:

Crenshaw’s tweet about Omar:

First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as “some people who did something”.

Unbelievable.

AOC’s dastardly response:

You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes.

In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?

Why is Alexandria’s tweet so nutty? Well, here are a couple of reasons…

This is pretty deceptive.

The bill has *not* even been voted on in the House.

A person does *not* have to cosponsor a bill to vote in support of it.

The other day, Omar referred to White House adviser Stephen Miller, a Jew, as a “white nationalist.”

If you think that might not make sense, it’s because it doesn’t.

Her tweet:

Stephen Miller is a white nationalist. The fact that he still has influence on policy and political appointments is an outrage.

President Trump responded, sending a pair of tweets aimed right at Ilhan.

Joe Scarborough Says Americans See Trump As ‘Either An Agent Of Russia’ Or A ‘Useful Idiot’

Published

on

Host of MSNBC’s “The Morning Joe,” Joe Scarborough, said that he personally thinks that President Trump going on a visit to Russia might be disastrous for him, reinforcing the view that “a lot” of Americans hold, namely that Trump is some sort of Russian asset. Trump spoke with the media on Friday last week where he stated that he was considering attending Russia’s Victory Day, a holiday designed to celebrate the country’s 1945 victory over Nazi Germany. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have both attended the event during their time in office. Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: “I’m not saying Donald Trump should go to Russia. I think, though, at some point, the United States needs to recognize, in a very public way, the remarkable sacrifice the Russian people made in the defeat of Hitler, along with all of our other allies,” Scarborough said Monday on his show. “But I’m just wondering whether Donald Trump can actually be that president,” he continued. “Because of everything that’s preceded it. The fact that there are a lot of people in America who believe that Donald Trump is either an agent of Russia or at least a useful idiot.” “He is doing the very thing that Vladimir Putin would want a western leader to do more than anything else, and that is to undermine NATO. He could not be doing Putin’s bidding more effectively if he were an active agent of Vladimir Putin and the KGB,” the host said last year about the president. Although Trump said he was considering the trip to Russia, he also said that going might conflict with campaign season. “It’s a very big deal, celebrating the end of the war. I appreciate the invitation, it’s right in the middle of the political season,” said…

Ilhan Omar Bids ‘Good Riddance’ GOP Rep. Peter King; Calls Him ‘Islamophobe’

Published

on

Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, who has become notorious over the last year for the many, many anti-Semitic statements she’s made about Jews and Israel, bid a very not fond farewell to GOP Rep. Peter King, who stated he would not be seeking re-election next November. King, who is 75-years-old, stated he would not be seeking a 15th term in Congress on Monday morning. Omar wasted no time in saying “good riddance.” Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: “Peter King is an Islamophobe who held McCarthyite hearings targeting American Muslims, said ‘there are too many mosques in this country’ and blamed Eric Garner for his own death at the hands of police,” the Minnesota freshman congresswoman tweeted. “Good riddance.” https://twitter.com/IlhanMN/status/1193925337379463169 As Omar referenced, King said that there “too many mosques in this country” in a 2007 interview with Politico. He then explained his statement saying, “I think there has been a lack of full cooperation from too many people in the Muslim community.” King later hit back at Politico’s framing of his remarks claiming, “The quote was taken entirely out of context by Politico. My position in this interview, as it has been for many years, is that too many mosques in this country do not cooperate with law enforcement. Unfortunately, Politico was incapable of making this distinction.” Not every Democrat shares Omar’s hatred for King. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer praised King, calling him “principled” and stated he would “miss him in Congress.” https://twitter.com/SenSchumer/status/1193873613746778114 King, in a statement released on Monday, said, “The prime reason for my decision was that after 28 years of spending 4 days a week in Washington, D.C., it is time to end the weekly commute and be home in Seaford.”
