Florida Gives School District 48 Hours to Drop Mask Mandates or Lose Funding

The heat is on.

The fight over COVID precautions is taking a tawdry turn in the Sunshine State this week, as the Department of Education gets involved in a bitter feud between Governor Ron DeSantis and a number of cautious school districts.

At the heart of the issue are a number of mask mandates being implemented by school districts within Florida, despite the governor’s orders that such requirements be outlawed.

Now, in a stunning escalation of events, the Florida Department of Eduction is giving these districts less than two days to comply with the order or face a major fiscal setback.

The Florida State Board of Education has sent an order to Broward and Alachua counties’ school board officials stating that they have 48 hours to comply with the state’s wishes to allow an opt-out option for masks or the state will begin withholding funds, according to copies of the orders shown to CNN.

If the school districts do not comply and continue to keep their mask mandates in place, the districts will start facing financial penalties. The state is requesting a list of the annual salaries of all board members, and the State Board of Education will then begin withholding 1/12th of that amount each month from the district’s funds, according to the document.

And there is no limit to the pain that can be inflicted.

The orders say this measure will be “an initial step” and that “monthly withholding must continue” until the districts are in compliance with the state request or the orders are rescinded.

Governor DeSantis appears to be taking the defiance of these school districts personally, which has opened him up to heavy criticism from not only the liberal left, but the White House as well.

According to a Fox News report, the Biden admin. has released more than 600,000 illegal aliens into the U.S. since he took office.

For a comparison, it appears that Joe Biden has released more illegals than the population of two U.S. states. Wyoming only has 578,759 citizens, and Vermont has 623,989.

Last week, Sen. Ron Jonson said that Biden’s administration is flat out lying about the numbers of illegals that are streaming into the U.S. Johnson said that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas lied about how many of the 1.3 million illegals that have streamed across the border since January have been deported back to their home countries.

”You know, I gave him questions for the record, which he didn’t respond to. And so, you’re coming into hearings yesterday in the Senate, today in the House, you’ve got to know that you’re going to be asked that question,” Johnson told Newsmax on Sept. 22. ”How could you not come prepared with that basic information?”

”They know the number,” Johnson added. ”They don’t want the American people [to] know the number, because the American people would be shocked. During his last appearance, I just did the back of an envelope count, calculation. I figured, probably about 600,000 people will be dispersed all over this country this year.”

”And again, that’s while they still have the Title 42 powers in place to return a lot of those individuals. So, 600,000 people. That’s a number larger than the population of Wyoming. And so they don’t want people to know that because there’s still denying that this is a crisis,” the Sen. said.

Joe Biden Claims ‘Trillionaires’ Aren’t Paying Enough Taxes, But there Are No U.S. Trillionaires

Joe Biden attacked American “trillionaires” on Friday even though there aren’t any U.S. trillionaires in the first place.

Joe Biden attacked American “trillionaires” on Friday who he says aren’t paying enough taxes, but — fact check, Joe — there aren’t any U.S. trillionaires in the first place.

“I’m running to change the dynamic of how the economy grows,” Biden said during a presser. “I’m tired of trickle-down. Trillionaires and billionaires are doing very, very well. You all report it.”

It is also unclear what Joe thinks he’s “running” for, unless he has forgotten that he has been crowed president of the United States.

Aside from that, though, even America’s richest person, Amazon chief Jeff Bezos, is a mere multi-billionaire with a net worth of $177 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

Per Breitbart News:

The president spoke about raising taxes on the wealthy after an event promoting coronavirus vaccine booster shots at the White House.

He claimed his policies for a permanent childcare tax credit were not costing the government any money.

“It’s not,” Biden said. “It’s reducing taxes, reducing taxes, not increasing taxes.”

He again pressed the issue of taxes as a moral issue, noting corporations were not paying enough.

“I just think it’s about just paying your fair share,’ he said, adding that it was “just wrong.”

Apparently, Biden doesn’t know who earns what in the U.S. Indeed, his plan would be just another broken campaign promise because it raises taxes on people making under $400,000 a year, something he said he would not do.
