While Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to deny the idea that he’s actively pursuing a 2024 presidential run, he certainly does seem to have the sort of national-attention mindset that any candidate for the White House needs.
The Sunshine State lawmaker has been steadily increasing his “brand awareness” by snagging headlines that pit him in direct opposition to the Biden agenda. “If they are going to come here, we’ll provide buses … I will send them to Delaware,” he told a press conference November 10, after being asked about Biden’s transfer of economic migrants from Mexico’ border into Floridians’ home state.
I mean if he’s not going to support the border being secured, then he should be able to have everyone there. So we will do whatever we can in that regard and we are absolutely going to do everything we can.
The humanitarian crisis at the southern border has been ongoing for months, despite President Biden’s appointing of Vice President Kamala Harris to oversee the disaster.
