Former NY Times Editor Finally Admits What We Already Knew

Things are not looking good for the “failing” New York Times.

It doesn’t take any superb powers or perception to understand how the mainstream media leans, politically.

With the exception of Fox News, the entire cable news industry is openly lambasting President Trump and the republican citizens who elected him.  Their coverage is not only biased, but bullish and bullying.  At times, hosts at CNN seem to be openly inviting the President to take time out of his day to tweet something snarky at them, just so they can turn around and spend 14 minutes talking about the tweet.

In the mainstream, it’s not enough to just report the news; apparently you have to be making the news as well.

The famously liberal New York Times has long been in on the trick as well, even though they frequently attempted to sell themselves as neutral.

Now, one former editor is spilling the beans.

Jill Abramson, the veteran journalist who led the newspaper from 2011 to 2014, says the Times has a financial incentive to bash the president and that the imbalance is helping to erode its credibility.

In a soon-to-be published book, “Merchants of Truth,” that casts a skeptical eye on the news business, Abramson defends the Times in some ways but offers some harsh words for her successor, Dean Baquet. And Abramson, who was the paper’s only female executive editor until her firing, invoked Steve Bannon’s slam that in the Trump era the mainstream media have become the “opposition party.”

“Though Baquet said publicly he didn’t want the Times to be the opposition party, his news pages were unmistakably anti-Trump,” Abramson writes, adding that she believes the same is true of the Washington Post. “Some headlines contained raw opinion, as did some of the stories that were labeled as news analysis.”

What’s more, she says, citing legendary 20th century publisher Adolph Ochs, “the more anti-Trump the Times was perceived to be, the more it was mistrusted for being biased. Ochs’s vow to cover the news without fear or favor sounded like an impossible promise in such a polarized environment.”

This sudden admission will likely further cripple the Times, who for years have been financially struggling.

Their business acumen is so damaged at this point that the paper has even picked up an unfortunate nickname from the President:  the “failing New York Times”.

Democrat Joe Manchin Burns Beto, Says ‘He’s Not Taking My Guns From Me’

Boom!

It’s very, very rare for me to ever applaud a Democrat for well, basically anything, but Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin recently delivered a message to fellow presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke that left me stunned as I launched into an immediate slow clap. Manchin stated he was no fan of the way O’Rourke fielded questions about gun rights and how he made it seem that his position was the default Democrat position. He also said that O’Rourke wasn’t going to take his guns and finished by saying, “You tell Beto that, okay?” Whew. That’s a burn. A big, nasty burn. via Daily Wire: O’Rourke promised Americans during the last Democratic presidential primary debate that “hell yes,” he’s going to take law-abiding citizens’ guns, such as AR-15s and AK-47s. “Beto’s one human being. He gave his own opinion, OK?” Sen. Manchin told Wall Street Journal reporter Lindsay Wise. “I think it was very harmful to make it look like all the Democrats.” “I can tell you one thing: [Beto O’Rourke’s] not taking my guns away from me,” Manchin added. “You tell Beto that OK?” https://twitter.com/lindsaywise/status/1174378345594806278 Manchin went on to clarify that he personally does not own an AR-15, so the buyback program wouldn’t impact him at all. https://twitter.com/frankthorp/status/1174412138569437185 This is simply amazing. A Democrat who isn’t necessarily a radical gun grabber? Stop the presses. This has to be a hoax, right? There’s no way such an individual exists. There just can’t be. This does not compute. At the end of the day, Manchin is still a Democrat, which is the last thing this country needs in the White House, but hey, at least this guy seems a bit more sensible than most folks in his party. Either way, O’Rourke isn’t taking his guns, and you know what, he’s not taking mine either.

Photos Emerge Of Super Liberal Justin Trudeau In Blackface; He Confesses To Wearing Blackface More Than Once

This guy’s career should be imploding.

One of the most enigmatic political figures in the world is without a doubt Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a super liberal and progressive fellow who has swept the world with his youth, charisma, and charm. But it seems those days might be over, thanks to a bunch of party photos from 2001 that have resurfaced, showing Trudeau rocking blackface during his time at a private school where he was teaching. Ouch. Oh, but that’s not bad enough. Trudeau has actually admitted to wearing blackface on multiple occasions. via Daily Wire: “The photograph has not been previously reported. The picture was taken at an ‘Arabian Nights’-themed gala. It shows Trudeau, then the 29-year-old son of the late former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, wearing a turban and robes with his face, neck and hands completely darkened,” TIME reported. “The photograph appears in the 2000-2001 yearbook of West Point Grey Academy, a private day school where Trudeau was a teacher.” TIME received a copy of the yearbook earlier this month from Vancouver businessman Michael Adamson, “who was part of the West Point Grey Academy community” and “felt [the photo] should be made public.” Zita Astravas, who works in media relations in Liberal Party of Canada, which Trudeau is the leader of, confirmed that Trudeau was the person in the photo wearing blackface: “It was a photo taken while he was teaching in Vancouver, at the school’s annual dinner which had a costume theme of ‘Arabian Nights.’ He attended with friends and colleagues dressed as a character from Aladdin.” Trudeau spoke with reporters during a press conference not long after the TIME report broke, where he admitted to donning blackface more than once, then dodged questions about whether or not he would resign amid the scandal. Trudeau said, “I stand here before Canadians…
