Fully Vaccinated Cruise Returns to Port with Several COVID Cases

Something is amiss here…

Given just how vociferous the debate surrounding COVID-19 vaccines has been, the nation’s top health officials really can’t afford to lose any of public’s trust on the issue – especially if they are hoping to reach President Biden’s increasingly fraught vaccination goals.

This means that we need to be assured that the vaccines themselves are working, first and foremost, and that any systems being put into place to track who is and isn’t inoculated need to be up to snuff.

Recent news out of the cruise industry has called that latter bit into question.

Two passengers aboard the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship – which carried only vaccinated crew and passengers as the industry aims to rebound from the coronavirus pandemic lockdown – tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of the cruise, the company said Thursday.

Both were asymptomatic and were sharing the same stateroom.

Contact tracing efforts were underway, Celebrity said in a statement, and anyone who came into contact with the duo was expected to receive expedited testing.

“Celebrity Millennium is sailing with fully vaccinated crew and guests and following comprehensive protocols that align with our destination partners and exceed CDC guidelines to protect the health and safety of our guests,” a Celebrity spokesperson said Thursday. “All guests on Celebrity Millennium were required to show proof of vaccination as well as a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before sailing from St. Maarten this past Saturday. This situation demonstrates that our rigorous health and safety protocols work to protect our crew, guests and the communities we visit.”

The Millennium was the first cruise ship to return to service in North America since the coronavirus pandemic shut down the industry last year.

The ship had recently undergone $500 million in upgrades, which included not only revamped amenities but also new ventilation systems to help keep passengers safe.

Parents Sent Their Kids’ Face Masks to a Lab, the Toxins They Found Will Horrify You

A group of parents sent the masks their kids have been wearing at school to a lab and the amount of toxins they found in them will horrify you. The Dr. Faucis of this world keep telling us that the safest thing for us all is to wear a mask to somehow keep us “safe.” But if the amount of dangerous germs in the masks of these kids is any indication, the masks are a toxic nightmare. According to the website Rational Ground: A group of parents in Gainesville, FL, sent 6 face masks to a lab at the University of Florida, requesting an analysis of contaminants found on the masks after they had been worn. The resulting report found that five masks were contaminated with bacteria, parasites, and fungi, including three with dangerous pathogenic and pneumonia-causing bacteria. Although the test is capable of detecting viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, only one virus was found on one mask (alcelaphine herpesvirus 1). The analysis detected the following 11 dangerous pathogens on the masks: Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumonia) Mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis) Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis, sepsis) Acanthamoeba polyphaga (keratitis and granulomatous amebic encephalitis) Acinetobacter baumanni (pneumonia, blood stream infections, meningitis, UTIs—resistant to antibiotics) Escherichia coli (food poisoning) Borrelia burgdorferi (causes Lyme disease) Corynebacterium diphtheriae (diphtheria) Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease) Staphylococcus pyogenes serotype M3 (severe infections—high morbidity rates) Staphylococcus aureus (meningitis, sepsis) The lab also found serious bacteria including pneumonia, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and other serious issues. Parents were aghast that their children were breathing this toxic gunk in and out for days: A parent who participated in the study, Ms. Amanda Donoho, commented that this small sample points to a need for more research: “We need to know what we are putting on the faces of our children each day. Masks provide a warm, moist…

Republican Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey shot down a forced vaccination policy for students at Arizona State University.

Republican Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey shot down a forced vaccination policy for students at Arizona State University, leaving the school with egg on its face. Ducey notified constituents on Twitter that the university would not be allowed to force all students to take the coronavirus vaccination. In one tweet, Ducey said that vaccines are a “choice — not a requirement.” He then followed that up citing his executive order on the vaccine. “Under the Executive Order, students cannot be mandated to take the COVID-19 vaccine or submit COVID-19 vaccination documents. Students also cannot be mandated to be tested or wear masks in order to participate in learning,” Ducey tweeted. https://twitter.com/dougducey/status/1404875454293495808 The gov. then issued an executive order shutting down the school’s policy. The college had recently issued its vaccine policy on its website. “As we continue preparations for fall 2021, we are writing to remind you of the university’s expectation that all students enrolled in an on-campus academic program for 2021-22 will be vaccinated,” Joanne Vogel, the vice president of student services, wrote on the college website. The school told students who did not want to provide proof of vaccination that they would have to observe social distancing, wear masks, and submit to constant testing.
